James Jackson Times (UK) Still, every now and then, when the show speaks to the idea of the need to have someone in your corner to root for you in life, or when it’s simply being funny, this black-belt sequel still has something about it. Rated: 3/5 Feb 14, 2025 Full Review Jack Seale Guardian In unlikely fashion, Cobra Kai wins again. Rated: 3/5 Feb 13, 2025 Full Review Clint Worthington RogerEbert.com its final five installments are classic “Cobra Kai”—melodramatic, cheesier than a charcuterie board, and deeply affectionate towards its sprawling dojo of misfits. Feb 13, 2025 Full Review Mikkel Snyder Black Nerd Problems I feel satisfied. Not elated, not defeated, just satisfied. Which is perhaps not the way I wanted the run to end, but Heald, Hurwitz, and Schlossberg had a story they wanted to tell and they told it well. Feb 18, 2025 Full Review Tilly Pearce iNews.co.uk These final episodes bring this tale to a conclusion that will have fans crane-kicking for joy. Rated: 4/5 Feb 17, 2025 Full Review Tara Bennett Paste Magazine Cobra Kai may never get categorized as “important television,” but in sticking the landing of their finale, the creators and their team have unequivocally raised the bar for how to reimagine a nostalgia property for the better. Audience Member If it's one thing I'll absolutely miss most of all about Cobra Kai is the wonderful cast. I have been a fan of the Karate Kid as a young child and I have stuck with Cobra Kai since its first season aired in 2018. I remember meeting William and Ralph at a convention one year, and instead of singing something and sending you on your way they'll talk to you for a very long time. I remember they recognized my friend and I eating lunch and we talked about so much that one of the managers for the convention had to remind them they had a panel to attend soon! The overall ending really did the series justice 100%. I am both sad that it's come to an end but happy and satisfied because I couldn't have asked for a better ending for everyone. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/11/25 Full Review Jeff K PURE PERFECTION!!! Season 6 is a Masterpiece. Without a doubt the best season of the series. Anyone who says otherwise is either crazy or still drinking that Hatorade. Most series end unsatisfyingly, because it's hard to wrap up storylines and character arcs that have been going on for years in one pretty bow. But the showrunners for this series have done just that. You can call the show melodramatic, you can call it cheesy. But bad is one thing you cannot call it.. More like Badass! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/08/25 Full Review Philip T Absolutely horrible! As a Karate Kid fan my entire life I have to say this season has gone so far away from the Cobra Kai story how it was initially intended to be. Season 6 was a difficult watch and this whole International tournament was so ridiculously off point. I love the nostalgic feeling of this incredible franchise and season six of CK was just something completely far gone and not good at all. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/07/25 Full Review Hadyn C Best written? No. Best acting? No. Very entertaining, full of laughs, fights, edge of the seat material, and nostalgia? Hell yes!! Brilliant end to a brilliant series, and it couldn't have ended better. The people mocking the acting and saying it's cheesy obviously never watched the original, as this series stays true to the classics. All in all a fantastic series to watch and I was very much entertained. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/05/25 Full Review Jesse D First three seasons- great. Last three, horrible. Last season especially had some of the worst writing I’ve seen. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/03/25 Full Review K L Was this the best acted show? No. Best written? No. Where there plot holes the size of New Hampshire and fantastical storylines. Of course. However, from the first episode I watched on the now defunct YouTube Red, to the last episode on Netflix, I don't think I ever had a show that so thoroughly entertained me from beginning to end. A great mix of teenage drama, adult drama, nostalgia and humor. All the tie backs to the movies were well done. Many of the characters developed over the course of the show. No character was perfect, they all had their challenges and flaws. In the end, it was a tremendous ending with the good guys winning out - something that is all to rare these days. I also appreciated the various twists and turns the storylines took to keep the subject fresh. Yes, some of them were outrageous - with various characters practically committing murder and/or seemingly coming back from the dead - but it all ended up working somehow. They also delivered on just about every nostalgia tie back they could have, with the exception of a maybe a Hilary Swank cameo from KK4. But, I'm not even sure how many people had even seen it. The crazy thing is, I saw the movies, but my wife had not, and she was just as big of a fan of the show as I was. So, it succeeded in even pulling in a new audience.
