What to Know

Critics Consensus

Resurrecting Charlie Cox's Daredevil with his virtues intact -- namely Vincent D'Onofrio as his terrifying adversary -- Born Again is an ambitious and at times ungainly crime saga that marks a mature tonal shift for the MCU.

Dominic Baez Seattle Times This season delivers — and that feels like justice. Jun 10, 2025 Full Review Shirley Li The Atlantic In the end, Born Again suggests, what makes Daredevil interesting isn’t his abilities -- superpowered and otherwise. It’s how, in his ongoing quest to better understand himself, he’s as human as anyone else. Mar 27, 2025 Full Review Eric Deggans NPR I'm not sure the first season of Daredevil: Born Again completely delivers on all those necessities... But it does better than an awful lot of disappointing recent film and TV efforts. Mar 8, 2025 Full Review Louis Skye (Ronita Roy Mohan) Stereo Geeks (Podcast) I really enjoyed the show even though I didn’t expect to. I couldn’t stop watching. Daredevil: Born Again has a very down-to-earth vibe, and often doesn’t even feel like a superhero show. More like a legal procedural. Jul 17, 2025 Full Review Griffin Schiller FilmSpeak (Youtube) This weird clash of two competing visions that never quite coalesce, despite the best efforts of a showrunner we know is capable of doing better. Maybe Season 2 will be better, at the very least it’ll be more consistent. Rated: 2/5 Jun 18, 2025 Full Review Mini Anthikad-Chhibber The Hindu Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio shine in this adrenaline-fuelled reboot/sequel of the beloved series May 16, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Sam S Daredevil only shows up for 3.5 episodes what a rip. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/25/25 Full Review Angel F Es entretenida y buen coreografía de pelea, pero no se siento que falta algo Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/28/25 Full Review Carl T As a fan of the original series, especially the first season, I was not disappointed. I was a little worried during the first episode, when a significant character was killed off right away, because it looked like it might go the way of Secret Invasion, but that clearly wasn't the case. If anything, it doubles down on the grittiness of the original, managing to top Wilson Fisk 'dooring' off a guys head with an even more gruesome stunt. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/25/25 Full Review Manas M Daredevil born again tried hard to match the level of it's Netflix predecessor but it can't.While the show has great cinematography, production value and the whole cast has done a great job, what it lacks is the intensity, philosophical depth & heavy dialogues like it's Netflix predecessor. While it's great to see Charlie Cox back as daredevil kinda wish they had focus on the screenplay more, although the final two episodes are great but Marvel should have kept the Netflix daredevil team instead of hiring new writer and directors. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/24/25 Full Review Jason g It’s a long overstated pedantic reintroduction to 2 characters who the entire franchise knows well and has spent seasons learning about. We do not need the psychodrama. We need plot motion. Vanessa, Wilson & Matt are utterly intolerable and make ridiculous choices, yet somehow Heather, the therapist who can’t tell she is meeting with a serial killer, is even less tolerable. I mean really writers, if I read this script, I’d hand you a blank page and encourage you to start from scratch. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/22/25 Full Review Read all reviews
