Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) It’s bolshie fun for an adolescent audience, with a smidge of Doctor Who, although it’s not as good as Joe Cornish’s equally spectral Lockwood & Co, which Netflix cancelled after just one season. May 2, 2024 Full Review Valerie Anne Autostraddle Overall, the show is really fun. It has supernatural case-of-the-week style mysteries, plus overarching enemies to contend with. It has themes of loss and identity and trauma, all while being funny and irreverent in between its serious moments. May 1, 2024 Full Review Clint Worthington RogerEbert.com Despite its faults, "Dead Boy Detectives" seems dead set on providing passable, spectral entertainment even for those unfamiliar with the series (both of them) on which it's based. Apr 26, 2024 Full Review Alex Valencia Q+ Magazine Dead Boy Detectives stands out as a beacon of inclusivity and imagination. Its seamless blend of supernatural intrigue, heartfelt friendships, and LGBTQ+ representation make it a must-watch for audiences craving a fresh take on the detective genre. Jul 18, 2024 Full Review Ian Bunting Daily Record (UK) ... The characters and plot strands are excellent. Jul 8, 2024 Full Review Mikel Zorrilla Espinof One of Netflix's best series of 2024 (Full Review in Spanish). Rated: 7710 Jun 15, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Lois C George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri are phenomenal leads to one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. The acting, set design, cinematography, and plot are all excellent. I am eagerly awaiting a second season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/09/24 Full Review Some Guy F Most the DC stuff has been pretty watchable, some like Doom Patrol is downright good. This one is just dumb. Disjointed storyline, bad performances, poorly hidden ADR. Also the accents, yikes. Reminds me of when Stewie Griffin said "You don't so much speak the language as chew it and spit it out." Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/28/24 Full Review Audience Member Série divertida e que prende o telespectador, os atores são carismáticos e conseguem se conectar com o público através de atuações excepcionais. Com certeza recomendo Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/08/24 Full Review Rodolpho R It is a fascinating and instigating universe, even more when you're into Sandman... It has a great line of history, good character development and deliver us enough to understand the story and keep wanting more. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/08/24 Full Review John W Fairly good overall. I could do without the swearing. I do not care for the Dandelion Sprites, but otherwise it is written very well. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/07/24 Full Review Matt J Definitely a good story line and for the most part the cast carry off the writing. I suspect the rating is largely buoyed by the fact that it's a Neil Gaiman Creation, and everything is 10/10 with most of his fans. I love his work too but in this case some of the performances let it down, in particular Jayden Revri seems to have been cast despite his acting skills, not because of them. He's incredibly wooden and feels like he is reciting the lines given to him. Compared to American Gods, Sandman and Good Omens - this is definitely the weakest adaption of the bunch but still worth a watch Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/06/24 Full Review Read all reviews
