Rebecca Nicholson Guardian I’m not sure I could take more than an episode or two in one sitting, such is the level of everything, everywhere, all at once. Rated: 2/5 Jul 26, 2023 Full Review Dónal Lynch Sunday Independent (Ireland) Drag queens don’t just have lip synch battles, they also organise terrific parties. At least the feisty contestants in this fun reality series do... Jan 29, 2024 Full Review Kevin Fallon The Daily Beast The series is also a glittering example of one of the most crucial aspects of Pride: the permission to be absolutely ridiculous, joke around with your community, and celebrate the fun of LGBT+ culture. Jun 5, 2023 Full Review Andy Dehnart Reality Blurred On Drag Me to Dinner, the 44 minutes drag and drag. Rated: C- Jun 2, 2023 Full Review Brett White Decider The show is truly a dragged out version of the kind of shows that run in weekend marathons on Food Network, with all of their peculiar peccadilloes heightened to absurdity. Jamie W If you love drag, this show is hilarious. Don't expect high quality and take it for what it is. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/05/23 Full Review Morag Elizabeth F Just fun! Who doesn't need more fun and glorious drags queens in their life?Trick Question, Everybody needs more fun and Drags. Sublime and Silly #DragIsntDangerous Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review Chitacosmico 7 With such talented cast of Drag Queens and Neil Patrick Harris on the menu the expectations were high, unfortunately the show landed flat as a tasteless crepe, the hosts felt sour and when a show is intended to not makes sense at all, it should at least aim at being funny but unfortunately is not! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/08/25 Full Review Sean C So uh . . . I tried watching "Drag me to Dinner" on HULU. I didn't like it. It is all so scripted that it misses the point of what happens when a drag queen performs in word alone. And even when it is not scripted, it is awkward and it feels like the producers are trying to make something happen, that does not want to happen naturally. The entire "competition" bit is so obviously fake that I asked myself "why are they posing this as a competition reality show". Its like they want it to be Drag Race - but they also could not define their vision for the show, and therefore the entire experience is a missed opportunity. I watched episode 1 with Jinx and BenDella . . . and I felt like their talents were not showcased to the highest degree that we have seen before, which is telling of the overall mis use of the talent. The entire show just felt awkward. . . and not in a good way. I even described this to my friend last night as "This is Drag TV content for straight people who need to feel safe in their heteronormativity in order to approve drag" I dunno ... I want to support this queer TV experience, but I also need to be real. The show gets a "channel change" from me, Im taking my gay views to another queer series. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/13/23 Full Review Darren T There is something here but it can be so much better. This is more of a sketch comedy than an actual cooking competition, which would've been a better approach. The cooking part doesn't actually have the queens cooking but to cause a ruckus to fill in time. So skip to the 19 min mark where they have the dinner party where it's fun and entertaining. The low budget and keeping in the mistakes feels like a drag show in the basement of a sticky table bar which is where the best drag shows are! Great to see drag performers outside of Drag Race on here. If there is a season 2 have the queens actually cook and make it less about Neil Patrick Harris and his husband, David. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/09/23 Full Review Leondra R I really wanted to love this show because I love Neil and the queens ..but it was very painful to make it through the first episode.. I couldn't do it. I rarely make a bad review EVER. It was not funny just stupid Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
