David Sims The Atlantic In constructing this loopy hangout session, Mulaney is taking the standard talk-show format and languidly injecting it with some disorder. The audience never knows what might happen, but there’s also little chance of something truly maniacal going on. Apr 10, 2025 Full Review Phillip Maciak The New Republic Right now, Everybody’s Live is in its bratty adolescence. There’s something interesting here, even if it’s not all that fun to be around at the moment. Mar 28, 2025 Full Review Eric Deggans NPR Instead of lending an air of danger or anything-can-happen excitement, the show's live element just added an overarching pressure which seemed to stifle the proceedings rather than elevate them. Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Marty Brown Common Sense Media Unlike contemporary talk shows intended to be chopped up into Tik Tok-sized bits for easy consumption, this one isn't built to be memed, but watched straight through in real time. Mar 19, 2025 Full Review Dustin Rowles Pajiba It may be the best thing to happen to late night in years. Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider Where else could a random Benihana reference from Mulaney turn into a story and feel really improvised? Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Nick J Forced. Awkward. Unfunny. Weird guy with bad plastic surgery trying to act cool. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/08/25 Full Review Morgan F The audience would benefit greatly from an “applause” sign. This show should be so much better. Makes me appreciate Conan so much more. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/28/25 Full Review ROB' E It was better the first time around. Not sure why they retooled it, but it's not heading in the right direction Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/25/25 Full Review Audience Member I"m a huge John Mulaney fan but this is really not good. I understand the premise being very loose but nothing hits and feels like little to know thought in the actual jokes or premise. Not sure what its trying to be, but its missing on whatever mark it wants to hit. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/25 Full Review Laura B I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. I really enjoyed it and it made me laugh. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/23/25 Full Review Audience Member All of his stand up specials are pieces of art, this ,whatever you call it, is boring , half cooked and not funny at all! Why are there so many guests, everyone knows that Mulaney is best in a one on one situation, and why the uneven distribution of attention to certain guests? Fred Armison was reduced to a prop while that stupid girl from the Chronicle was allowed to spew her phony BS! I will never get the choice of Richard Kind, he’s cringe and doesn’t contribute anything to the show! Why two music acts back to back , a fun monologue instead would have been most welcome (2nd Episode) Nick Kroll? Seriously? Most unfunny creep in the business and always drags JM down. I checked out 15 minutes in, panel was ugly, boring ,so were the phone calls in E 1&2 Won’t watch again and hope Netflix will terminate this train wreck and produce another JM stand up special instead Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/25 Full Review Read all reviews
