Richard R I agree with most reviewers that Season 3 was a little too much but I still found it enjoyable. The characters were still interesting. The script got a little bit out of control and the character of Lucien was ridiculous and I'm glad if he is all done. If there is a season 4 (i hope there is) it seems like only one person died but it will be interesting to see how it all played out. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/05/24 Full Review Soraya S I binged watch Season 1 and 2 because the series was so entertaining. Season 3 seemed to spiral and the ending is absurd? Why kill of Lucian and how can there possibly be a Season 4, she will keep the hotel where her son, daughter and law died? What utter nonsense. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review steve s Watched all 3 seasons, mostly because I found the setting and scenery beautiful. The writing and plot was not worthy of the wonderful acting. Had 3 or 4 subplots going, so you had to watch all the episodes to keep up. (SPOILER ALERT) So if the writers couldn't keep up with the multiple plots and how to resolve them - why not kill off the main characters, in a WTF climax. So why would a young British guy (lucian) and his Indian buddy join the underground in Italy to kill fascists when he just returned from the 1st World War, when it's not even his country. Wouldn't a hotel owner's family want to stay out of conflicts with the authorities, when living in a different country then their own. How does this plot make sense writers???? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/21/24 Full Review Lu W I believe the writers could have done something better than killing Lucian. Shame on them! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/15/24 Full Review Mary G I loved this series through season 2. And then it went downhill. The first episode of season 3 seems to skip a long period, but then you find out it wasn’t that long and have to figure out the missing pieces. They tried to have too much going on in six episodes. And then they killed off Lucien after he and Constance finally got together. So, unless he’s really not dead….. I’m done. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/14/24 Full Review jimmie c What happened in Season 3 put me off but in all honesty I was getting there anyway. Season 1 of this show was brilliant - good cast, outstanding location, beautiful scenery, romance...even touched a bit on food of the region. Then it hit the skids in Season 3 and became dark with a finale to rival Game of Throne. What the heck happened is beyond me but I'm done. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/13/24 Full Review Read all reviews
