The interviews tell personal and intimate accounts, supported by tasteful recreations that help to reinforce and showcase what might have occurred. And the length is perfect, not puffing up the runtime with irrelevancies or repetition. Go to Full Review

Nathalie D Mar 30 Sad. Sick. Profoundly disturbing. See more Patrick L Feb 11 Finally a real life solving of a murder and capture of a serial killer. Not the bullshit Hollywood shirts out. Coincidence, luck and victims family have a greater chance of bringing justice than swamped, overworked and disconnected homicide police. Makes you realise there are thousands of serial killers out there right now and only a stupid few will ever be caught. Like Ivan Milat remaining free two years after he shoots at someone in public with witnesses. See more Theresa E Jan 22 Jaw dropping; tense; disturbing and emotional. Cathy Terkanian-wow, just wow; your anguish and dedication is remarkable. A mother’s instinct never fails. See more Jennifer S Dec 22 Very well-made and worth the watch. The Biological mother was right all along. Sometimes you have to wonder why cases like this take so long to solve, but then fate steps in, and what is found out in the end solves, not just one, but many more cases. See more Michael H @Michael1962 11/09/2024 I could not stop watching. This shows the opposite ends of our human condition . Pure love and dark evil. Love will always win ❤️❤️ See more Dan R 10/24/2024 The documentary 'Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter' recently dropped onto Netflix. SYNOPSIS: 'A tenacious mother unravels the complex mystery surrounding the 1989 disappearance of the daughter she had placed for adoption.' You can't afford to turn off at any point during this documentary as there's no many characters and the story is so complicated. In essence though it's an incredibly gripping and emotional tale of a mother's discovery of what happened to the daughter she lost twice: once when she gave her up for adoption, and again when her daughter mysteriously disappeared. It's an intimate and personal journey into the unknown which eventually reveals the mother's fears to completely grounded in truth. Netflix do it again! 8/10 See more Read all reviews
