So witty! Love the subject matter and time period I mean who doesn't want a comedic animation about gods, goddess', monsters and what not. Also the casting is everything! I'm glad there will be 3 seasons no matter what. Dan Harmon just doesn't miss! Some random haters that aren't smart enough to find it funny are just wrong. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The show starts out slow, but it picks up speed as it progresses. Highly recommend watching it!

The first few episodes of this show were a bit underwhelming, but after the third episode there was a hint of fantastic possibility. I am pleased to see that possibility bearing fruit. The humor for this show is witty, generally intelligent, and slow burning, much like the show as a whole. The first two episodes, which were generally poorly received, are still essential for establishing the story and character relationships upon which the rest of the show rests. The rest of the season spends its time both reinforcing these, but also subverting them in ways that feel fresh. This show may seem like many existing animated comedies in the first few episodes. It isn't. This isn't a show like Archer about a bunch of bad-A but terrible people that you want to see fail and succeed in equal measure. It isn't Family Guy or South Park, which satirize humanity and show the terrible nature in everyone- we also enjoy watching these characters fail. It certainly isn't about perfect characters that teach us how to live our lives. This show is about a bunch of flawed but ultimately redeemable characters. Every character represents an aspect of humanity taken to cartoonish extremes, and they all are well-written foils for each other. Instead of these extremes making them incompetent, they serve as challenges for the characters to overcome. You will be pleasantly surprised how intelligent and competent the characters can be when they finally overcome their faults. This is a show about failure leading to success, about the complexity of life in a modern world (despite being set in ancient Greece), and most of all it is about family. At the heart of this show is the fact that we can't pick our blood relatives, the fact that our family drives us crazy, but also the fact that, at the end of the day, our crazy dysfunctional family will still have our back. That's right! You wouldn't predict it, but the this show is built on the surprisingly wholesome relationships that exist just below the surface. And despite every flaw, you want them to succeed. That's what makes this show different and fresh.

Hilarious and witty. Love the characters. Hope the show is renewed!

Loving it! Funny, witty, fast-paced and intelligent; you'll probably hate it if you're dumb.

Krapopolis Season 1 is a okay season. I recently accidentally watched an episode of Krapopolis on Fox because the Simpsons was on at 8:30, and it was actually okay. I watched the premiere on Hulu and I hated it. When I accidentally watched that episode I released that Krapopolis just had a really bad premiere. Krapopolis isn't a great show, but it isn't a bad show. I give this a 54%.

Not great, hardly funny, doesn't keep my attention.

      • Nov 07, 2023

There are no redeeming qualities about this show. The jokes don't land and the plot and characters are boring. They don't really do anything interesting with the setting of Mycenaean Greeks. As a Greek myself I'm pretty disappointed. It would be more interesting if they clashed with other societies like the Hittites, Hebrews, Illyrians, Phoneacians etc. instead of just making the whole thing about Greek gods. Also I find it odd they made a whole show about Greeks but didn't make the characters look anything like Greeks and they didn't cast a single Greek actor. I know it's just a stupid animated show, but still annoying.

It seemed to get off to sore start but with every episode I enjoy it more and more. I think it will eventually be loved how many of Dan Harmon's shows go but I'm enjoying this ride.

      • Oct 24, 2023

Original concept and storylines, great voice actors with impeccable comedic timing. The only reason I can think of people disliking it (aside from trying too hard to be the cool critic that no one can please) is that the humor is too raunchy for their delicate sensibilities. But if you're not one to clutch pearls and get the vapors from a silly beastiality joke, if you enjoyed Matt Berry in his other works, if you like Dan Harmon's other shows, if you're tired of formulaic plots like in every other sitcom out there, or of cartoon shows whose plots have declined into random meandering grab bags of events and jokes (looking at you Simpsons), and are tired of having to stress binge for resolutions of never ending story arcs battling for the fate of the world (looking at you anime), and just want solid stand-alone one-off episodes to escape the world in and laugh with... this is a refreshing break. It's intelligent without getting preachy, it's funny without pandering, and it's easy to see why this series has already attracted such a great cast. Maybe it's not for everyone, (maybe attend your church service instead and pray for our souls), but if you are who this show is aiming at, it's awesome. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
