See more Richard F 1h The first season was great! Billy Bob and crew gave us a detailed view of the oil business and the relationships of the characters. It was interesting and well acted. Season 2 has radically changed his character in a variety of ways including using him as a vehicle for the other characters. His firing was absurd as he is obviously the most qualified executive in the company to move it forward. there are serious problems with the female roles as they are treated as simply eye candy. Not looking forward to season 3 and more likely will pass certainly if Billy Bob and others are gone. See more Jonathan F 10h Had a lot of hope for this series. Season 1 started off great with even Breaking Bad vibes, but those parted ways for Real Housewives vibes instead. Went from must watch on Sunday nights to where I skipped the last 3 episodes of season 2 bc there was no way it was going to get any better. The actors are fine for the most part, but the writing is atrocious. Some people may enjoy it but this show is not for me. Will not be watching season 3. This show exhibits some of the best writing in TV at the moment, as well as a story thats compelling, gritty, accurate, and wholesome. The acting, writing, and directing are top tier. Season 2 is insufferable. Everything you hated in Season 1 (whether character, lazy writing, contrived storylines) is magnified here. What you loved about Season 1 gets less attention here. If you are a fan of soap operas, Real Housewives, teen porn, and other crap, you’ll probably like this. If you are wanting more oil patch/business driven stories, go back and watch season 1. See more Jerome B 19h Very good series, I love almost everything in it, alright sometimes it's maybe a bit too naive especially with the son's love story but in my opinion it's way more realistic than all the sophisiticated crap we can see in other series.
