See more John M @johnymac 14h The Dallas of the 21st Century. Obviously Dallas had some weaker spots, as does Landman. Tommy's son Cooper is a weak character, as is his female interest Ariana. And the portions of the story revolving around them are slow and uninteresting so far. This is a shame, as I think the actors could carry a much stronger storyline. Tommy's story, though, is well-paced and fraught with suspense. He's striving to be some sort of good-guy, but reality doesn't give him a chance to square up. His failings and setbacks serve to make him more human than the grand scale of the Oil Company (M*TEX Oil) would otherwise allow. In total, a really enjoyable watch with understandable faults.
