Action heads should delight in a series where the fighting is so intense, sweat literally sizzles on a hot sword. Go to Full Review

There are plenty of reasons to watch Last Samurai Standing on its own terms. Go to Full Review

It might have taken until a key sword fight amid fireworks for me to fully invest in Last Samurai Standing on its own terms, rather than as a fusion of two buzzy shows I previously enjoyed, but I got there by the end. Go to Full Review

Rather than copying, the series draws inspiration from anime’s distinctive traits. While parts may feel familiar, the show is ultimately charting new territory. Go to Full Review

No doubt that those who enjoy period Japanese action shows will want to tune in, but lesser fans of the genre may appreciate the narrative if they can stomach the violence that comes with it. Go to Full Review

rsderek81 @rsderek81 6h It takes familiar themes found in Squid Games, Last of Us, and a long walk and puts it together in a Very Entertaining Way 🍿 AMAZING fight sequences! Characters you care about!! 👏🏼 See more Gabriel F 1d It is an excellent season minus one incredibly large flaw: they didn't finish it. It's 6 episodes when it clearly needed to be 8 or 10. If they had not Netflix'd themselves into a short season, this would've been a 5 star review. Incomplete is different than a cliffhanger. There was no finale. Episode 6 ended the same kind of way as 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 -- all of which were great episodes, but *as a season* it failed to deliver a conclusion. The natural end of the season should've been as the "game" ended. "What is X going to do with the money? How is X going to cope with their friends all dying? How is justice going to be brought against the maker of the game?" These are all cliffhangers. The protagonist seeing the chief antagonist is the end of an episode, not a season. See more Hunter S. @Review_Hunters 1d The only thing they did wrong was end the first season when I wanted to watch it more! Great story, acting, and visuals. See more Cameron B. @noremaxc 2d Little too much anime trope. See more Lara A @Lara58 2d It was sublime and riveting. The layers of storytelling, complexity & depth of characters is something to watch. The male characters & female characters are so well written. I enjoyed the twists and intrigue. The villains are frightening. The fight scenes are mind blowing. I wanted to see more , didn't want it to end. See more Connor O. @jimminycrickets 2d Makes squid games and hunger games look like child’s play. Closest thing to battle royale, but strictly samurai. If you are a fan of samurai culture, ghost of Tsushima, kill bill, you will love this. I really hope it gets another season. Best unexpected show I’ve seen in years See more Read all reviews
