Again, I fail to comprehend the high ratings. It’s watchable if you’re just looking for something to pass the time. My partner and I aren’t familiar with the MCU, so perhaps there are in-jokes or references that people find amusing? It’s cheesy and at times cringe-worthy, but maybe that’s what people enjoy? I believe Owen Wilson does a decent job. I enjoyed the acting from Hunter X-5 character, who seemed to give it his all. The Loki/Sylvie dynamic is kinda awkward, but ok. I genuinely don’t understand the hype surrounding Jonathan Majors’ character. Perhaps he’s talented, but the accents and his characterisation were difficult to watch. To be honest, we struggled to finish it. My partner kept wanting to fast-forward certain parts, but I refused. Maybe this aspect of the MCU isn’t for us. Perhaps we’re the problem. We genuinely wanted to enjoy it, but we were left puzzled and confused by our feelings vs. review score.
