David Opie Empire Magazine Missing You is solid enough if your expectations are as low as your attention span in the sleepy lull after New Year’s. Coben fans will know exactly what they're letting themselves in for.  Rated: 2/5 Jan 10, 2025 Full Review Keith Watson Daily Telegraph (UK) ... Making the most of scenes that don’t involve convoluted plot points, Eleazar and Ashley Walters give Kat and Josh’s back-story some emotional depth in scenes that pack an emotional punch. Rated: 3/5 Jan 9, 2025 Full Review Sarah Shaffi AV Club Missing You is easy viewing. Rated: C+ Jan 6, 2025 Full Review James Delingpole The Spectator I’m almost tempted to tell you the ending just to spare you the bother. Jan 30, 2025 Full Review Hilary A White Sunday Independent (Ireland) Luckily, Missing You comes with relentless call backs and comical interludes to keep us on our toes. Jan 24, 2025 Full Review Tatat Bunnag Bangkok Post The series seems to prioritise twists over substance, relying on familiar tropes like hidden double lives and shocking revelations without fully committing to character development or thematic depth. David H Oh, no! I've never seen such a ridiculous, preposterous who-done-it. And I spent 5 hours to find that out. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/03/25 Full Review Fiona B Pathetic is the best word to describe the series. Nothing jelled - shallow characters, a ridiculous storyline - complete rubbish. I always watch things through to the end in the hope that there is an amazing reveal...or something to redeem the production. In this case I wish I had stopped watching after the first half an hour when my gut instinct told me it was going to be terrible to the end. Spare yourself - not worth wasting your time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/25 Full Review J J Waste of time. Without spoiling it for those that do watch, the plot is complete nonsense that goes in different directions and has zero meaning to the storyline. Everything is revealed in the last 20 minutes, it’s at that point you are kicking yourself for wasting time watching it in the first place. The acting is equally poor. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/25 Full Review Shorouk E I was soo hooked until maybe the 5th episode then literally everything went down the drain. Went from telling my friends to watch it to calling them up quickly to warn them before they do. I mean i enjoy a plot twist but it just started getting too much at some point until it just got lame and annoying. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/25 Full Review Audience Member Such a fun watch, with a satisfying ending :) Really well written, with no loose ends, everything fell into place beautifully. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/25 Full Review Dennis B I wish Missing You had loftier goals. The producers took a wonderful idea and very good cast and made nothing more than a soap opera. Rosalind Eleazer did a good job and can certainly carry a series - BUT - please give her Slow Horses level of scripts and directing. Oh - and I did finish the series in one sitting so it couldn't have been that bad. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/25 Full Review Read all reviews
