      Season 2 – New Amsterdam

2019 Drama TRAILER for New Amsterdam: Season 2 Trailer - Returning January List
Reviews 80% 50+ Ratings Audience Score Dr. Max Goodwin is brilliant, charming -- and the new medical director at America's oldest public hospital. While he's set on tearing down the bureaucracy to provide exceptional care, the doctors and staff are not so sure. They've heard this before, and no one else has delivered on those promises. Not taking no for an answer, Max disrupts the status quo and proves he will stop at nothing to breathe new life into this understaffed, underfunded and underappreciated hospital -- the only one in the world capable of treating Ebola patients, prisoners from Rikers Island and the president of the United States all under one roof -- and return it to the glory that put it on the map. Previous S M Too much emphasis on a Psychiatrist who believes he can cure brain tumors with therapy. LOL Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/27/23 Full Review Sarah-Elizabeth Absolutely brilliant. Beautiful acting, writing, all of the above. This show is talking about issues no other show has, in such a mindful and powerful way. Ignore the reviews, jump in, the water is warm! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/23 Full Review isaiah g Was good for a second season of show Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Margo M A strong follow up to an incredibly packed first season. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review claudia p A nice medical drama, which by the end of each episode always delivers some positive and optimistic feeling that help making your approach to daily-life better. (Perhaps, in this show, the doctors are the ones really having the hardest time, in their professional and/or personal life, but you do not perceive it as overdramatic or excessively sadistic, as in other medical dramas...) Decent balance between vertical and horizontal storylines, and you can appreciate the single episode with no strong need for a "previously on". Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This drama is unlike any other medical drama I have ever seen. Each episode and character is full of so much heart and care. I haven't cried in just under a decade but New Amsterdam brings me close. I'm so emotionally invested in every single episode. I don't even want to binge it because it's far too good to binge. I want to take my time with it and savour it. The characters are 100% on point and there isn't just one person that carries the entire drama, they each carry a chunk of it. Each character developed beautifully throughout the first season. Most Medical Dramas like Holby City, Casualty, ER and Greys Anatomy are far too over dramatic and inaccurate. They're all the same shows, there's hardly a difference between them. But New Amsterdam is something brand new. Honestly this show has completely changed the medical Genre for good in the best possible way. New Amsterdam does not compare to any other medical drama because it's far superior. The characters, the story lines, the twists and developments all make New Amsterdam the best and most refreshing medical drama I've ever seen. I have faith and hope that this show will last a long time! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Next Post a review
