After serving as a British Army nurse in World War II, Claire Randall is enjoying a second honeymoon in Scotland with husband Frank, an MI6 officer looking forward to a new career as an Oxford historian. Suddenly, Claire is transported to 1743 and into a mysterious world where her freedom and life are threatened. To survive, she marries Jamie Fraser, a strapping Scots warrior with a complicated past and a disarming sense of humor. A passionate relationship ensues, and Claire is caught between two vastly different men in two inharmonious lives. "Outlander" is adapted from the best-selling books by Diana Gabaldon.

It’s finale time for this epic tale of time-traveling love, war, kinky sex and bloated storytelling as Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan leave their hearts in the highlands, and the series ends as it began—essential viewing for incurable romantics Go to Full Review

Though it’s a far cry from the sultry days of Season 1 Jamie and Claire, there’s still enough chemistry there to scratch the itch. Go to Full Review

Despite Outlander's dramatized flubs, season 8 managed to deliver on magic in a way it hasn't done in years. Go to Full Review

bev L @gotchabebe 3d I’ve watched Outlander through all 8 Seasons/11 years! There has never been another historical period drama like it ever! No characters could ever be compared to our Jaime and Clair, and all the countless fastastic characters that have come and gone! After watching Season 8:8 fantastic episode last night, we are getting really sad to know we have 2 more episodes left, out of the over a hundred episodes we watched! Thank you Jaime & Claire ❤️❤️❤️ See more Margaret F @RT79141023 4d This had to be the most desperate and maddening writing I’ve ever encountered. So much worse than GOT or Lost or any other disappointing series finale. Nothing makes sense, nothing follows the book. The writers owed it to this cast, crew, author to make this better. They must all want to move on. Truly terrible acting, writing, and wrap up See more Lisa B @RT37942251 4d This review is solely based on the final season alone. Previously it has been epic, seasons one and two really throws you into the love story between Jamie and Clare whilst showing the devastating impacts on their lives for just living in that century alone....however season 8 has really struggled it's almost like watching an intense race and finally your at the finish line but everyone starts to walk. It's slow, messy and doesn't seem to be going nowhere. I think once the family all reconnected after Jamie's son learns who his real father is this probably should have been the wrapping up point. Franks ghost speaking through a book just isn't very nail biting and doesn't require 8 episodes. However the previous seasons are absolutely brilliant so definitely worth a watch See more Michelle C @RT57943480 Apr 21 Disappointed so far. The show is slow and stodgy. I know the book on which it is based is a big baggy, but the show has done nothing to tighten that up and has confused matters by adding extra story lines. Claire is having to make some speeches that are so out of character. Sappy nonsense. Where is the firebrand that we know and love? See more Heather M @HeatherbelleScot885 Apr 20 I Was heartbroken loss of Fergus will be missed very much. A lot in one episode Jamie and Claire revealing heart felt story of Faith to their grand daughter very emotional episode See more Lee P @Steamed Apr 19 We’ve been Game of Throned. I can’t believe the bs Matt Roberts has done. Oh, wait! I can. That’s why I can’t stand Blood of My Blood and the weird episodes with Claire using ether. What a steaming pile of slop. He has novels with terrific characters and storylines, and what does he do? F them up! Worst dumb move? The whole "Faith Survived" fiasco. That means William slept with his niece, That means all sorts of evil from good people had to take place to remove her from Claire and the hospital and let Claire and Jamie grieve for decades. Second? William sees Percy kiss Lord John. Never happened. Stupid. Third? If they didn’t want Henri-Christian to die in the fire, why kill anyone? Least of all Fergus!!! He was just getting worthy things to do. As Charlie Brown said, Aaaaaaaargh! Or Claire, Jesus H Roosevelt Christ. Two more episodes and now I’m forewarned…never again will I or a lot of others watch a show Matt Roberts has ANYTHING to do with. Mm See more Read all reviews
