After serving as a British Army nurse in World War II, Claire Randall is enjoying a second honeymoon in Scotland with husband Frank, an MI6 officer looking forward to a new career as an Oxford historian. Suddenly, Claire is transported to 1743 and into a mysterious world where her freedom and life are threatened. To survive, she marries Jamie Fraser, a strapping Scots warrior with a complicated past and a disarming sense of humor. A passionate relationship ensues, and Claire is caught between two vastly different men in two inharmonious lives. "Outlander" is adapted from the best-selling books by Diana Gabaldon.

It’s finale time for this epic tale of time-traveling love, war, kinky sex and bloated storytelling as Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan leave their hearts in the highlands, and the series ends as it began—essential viewing for incurable romantics Go to Full Review

Imagine a love story so profound that it endures across centuries? "Outlander" did and does. Go to Full Review

Though it’s a far cry from the sultry days of Season 1 Jamie and Claire, there’s still enough chemistry there to scratch the itch. Go to Full Review

Despite Outlander's dramatized flubs, season 8 managed to deliver on magic in a way it hasn't done in years. Go to Full Review

With only 10 episodes to go in all of Outlander, it’s just good to have the gang back together as quickly as possible. Go to Full Review

Lee P @Steamed 15h We’ve been Game of Throned. I can’t believe the bs Matt Roberts has done. Oh, wait! I can. That’s why I can’t stand Blood of My Blood and the weird episodes with Claire using ether. What a steaming pile of slop. He has novels with terrific characters and storylines, and what does he do? F them up! Worst dumb move? The whole "Faith Survived" fiasco. That means William slept with his niece, That means all sorts of evil from good people had to take place to remove her from Claire and the hospital and let Claire and Jamie grieve for decades. Second? William sees Percy kiss Lord John. Never happened. Stupid. Third? If they didn’t want Henri-Christian to die in the fire, why kill anyone? Least of all Fergus!!! He was just getting worthy things to do. As Charlie Brown said, Aaaaaaaargh! Or Claire, Jesus H Roosevelt Christ. Two more episodes and now I’m forewarned…never again will I or a lot of others watch a show Matt Roberts has ANYTHING to do with. Mm See more Lindsey L @RT47500676 2d Spoiler alert coming: taking away from the source material is CRAZY. I didn't mind tweaks like Murtagh making it to America and such, but killing Fergus is honestly the last straw as far as bad writing goes. There's always someone who thinks they can make an already MAJORLY successful work of art "better." I spent THOUSANDS to vacation in scotland last year because of DIANA'S WORK. I totally see why the main cast had such a hard time answering questions on the way the story was going and how they as themselves in addition to their characters felt about those decisions. Starz and the writers did us all an injustice. :( See more Cat F @catfriend1234 Apr 5 This season feels like show creators were let loose in a laundromat for 42 seconds to gather whatever clothing pieces they could find and are now trying to make an outfit. Yes, there are scenes to watch with both familiar and unfamiliar characters but the story is an utter mess and wholly forgettable. At this point I no longer care how it ends. These characters will have more fitting fates in my imagination. See more Tsitsi N @RT47596815 Mar 30 OUTLANDER one of the best series ever. Cant wait to see the end. But my heart aches.. i know i will repeat it one day. See more Mar•Garet W @RLM-Fan-Club-76 Mar 21 So far, so great......While not perfect by any measure, it is Miles above most of the Dreck & Dross that now litters the TV & Film Landscape. See more Arby W @ArbyW Mar 21 There is a simple reason that ever since the middle of the third season, the rating have gone steadily and dramatically down (see Wikipedia List of Outlander Episodes for the stats). The reason is that the show became embarrassed by what made them a hit in the first place; a simple late nite premium cable channel soft porn production of a time-honored soft porn book genre, The Bodice Ripper. As the shows became more Hallmark movie, and more worried about how all this will look to the kids who are quick to cancel, the more the ratings have dropped. Its MacDonalds taking everything off the menu except salads and the occasional limited-edition veggie burger. See more Read all reviews
