2h agoThe story lines are overly simple and Natasha Lyonne's acting and her character annoying. I've liked her in almost all that she has done. This is the only show where I don't think I can continue watching after the first four episodes. And I had to force myself to get through those. Oh well...
-
8h agoFantastic. Natasha Lyonne is wonderful.
-
9h agoThe first two episodes are much better than the rest. It really fall flat in structure and pacing very quickly. It had moments has a character study, but the momentum that was there after the banger of a 1st episode is clearly faded.
-
12h agoI looked forward to this as I love Natasha as an actress and I liked Rians work on Knives Out,however Pokerface just isn't for me, I find the format repetitive and dull and the episodes a slog, Its hard to binge the show when the format is the same every episode, show us who the killer is, rewind to Charlie uncovering the killer, shemoves on to another town and repeat, its rinse and repear and its dull ,predictable and boring after a while, nowhere near as captivating, twisty or entertaining as Knives out, the acting is fabulous just dull, a shame

13h agoStarts so strong in episode one and Natasha is amazing throughout. The premise wears thin and I tapped out after the band episode.

17h agoI really digged the Colombo/Rockford Files vibe initially. But some serious flaws. Knowing who the murderer is from the outset will get old quick -- actually, it did get old quick after three episodes. Her nomad-like behavior will have to end at some point. She needs some regular companions to play off of - even if they come and go (think Quantum Leap, original). Finally, they completely lost me in Episode 3 when she went off on the fascist/MAGA rant on the dog. Are these producers (Leone) and networks so tone deaf they don't care that they alienate half their audience? I'm not a MAGA cheerleader, but the in your face "republicans are scum" diatribe from the outset has me immediately tuning out. There are literally thousands of other things to watch. And that's no bull$hit.

1d agoLove it totally fire very entertaining love rians Johnson work the lead character Natasha lyonne is truly dope she's a great awesome sharp actress want to see more of her Emmy winning worthy

1d agoAt first, I was worried that all the episodes would be like the first, where since people know about her ability, lying becomes impossible. I was also worried that knowing whether someone was lying would make the mystery easy to solve, but I was glad that her part focused on finding the motive, which we as the audience also didn't know. And one small complaint though is that some of the ways she solves the case should have been obvious to even the stupidest law enforcement agent (eg. ep. 5 heart rate monitor revelation). I was also shocked that our main Detective didn't learn not to put her life in danger and to save the "aha" monologue for after or when the villain is safely behind bars.

1d agoThis best crime show I saw in 30 years… This is the new Columbo! Crime happens then , for some reason, she is there all along!! Wow… really wow! Keep this show for at least 10 seasons pls, cannot get enough of this new superstar!
-
2d agoThe show starts or with a premise that our hero can see through lies. The first half of the first episode I was getting frustrated with her. And then? Boom! I'm hooked. Natasha is delightful and I enjoy this show thoroughly. With so much junk out these days, this is a delightful piece of candy in a mix of gross junk.
