Max I Better than most ceremonies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/16/23 Full Review Craig H Another yawnfest. Yeah it was good to see everyone that won, win....but really, everyone that won was already predicted to win. Everything Everywhere All at Once was going to win going in and any actor associated with the movie was going to win going in. And, of course, Brendan Fraser was going to win going in. There were no surprises. They omitted a lot of actors that had died in 2022 from the memoriam. They do that every year but this year they really missed a lot of actors. The jokes were soft. The harshest joke was directed towards Pauley Shore and he took it in stride. No fisticuffs this year. It was literally a yawnfest. You could have missed the whole show and saw the highlights the next day and not missed a thing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/18/23 Full Review Alexander v The best Oscars in years. Jimmy Kinmel nailed it. The only thing that was missing was the Stunt Category. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/23 Full Review spammimatic s Jimmy Kimmel sucks, he shouldn't have hosted the show. However, the rest was great. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/22/23 Full Review Roberto H Much better than last year's show. All the categories were in the ceremony, and they cut out most of the comedy bits (Jimmy Kimmel sucked though). EEAAO SWEEEEP!!!! Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times All Quiet on the Western Front was having a great night, with (deserved) wins for cinematography, international feature, production design and original score. But some THREE-plus hours later, “Everything” was everything. Mar 17, 2023 Full Review Soraya Nadia McDonald Andscape Over and over, the devil finds work in Hollywood. It’s high time he was unemployed. Mar 16, 2023 Full Review Alison Herman The Ringer For once, the Oscars went according to plan. Maybe that’s more than enough. Mar 16, 2023 Full Review Paul Risker PopMatters The 95th Academy Awards laid bare a political contradiction, and an attempt to fix a lack of previous recognition for Jamie Lee Curtis was controversial. But is Hollywood still just flirting with the change it needs to make? Mar 16, 2023 Full Review Matt Roush TV Insider Any fan of tearjerkers could do worse than replay highlights from the first hour of Sunday night’s 95th Oscars telecast. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 16, 2023 Full Review Miles Surrey The Ringer Instead of keeping things tight and focusing on the movies that were actually up for Oscars this year, the ceremony became a glorified advertising platform at times.
