Previous Alison Rowat The Herald (Scotland) The Larkins is stuck firmly in the past in every sense. From character to comedy the broadest of brushes is employed. Subtlety, never mind irony, has yet to be invented. Oct 28, 2022 Full Review Next

Previous Tom T Missing Sabrina Bartlett's character, but halfway through the season (AcornTV) it is still a very good show, great characters in Ma and Pa Larkin as well as their kids and the various village characters. Wish there were more shows like this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/10/23 Full Review steve a This remake of the Darling Buds of May should not have made it past the pilot. Bradley Walsh splashes the cash like a vulgar spiv and isn't in the slightest endearing, Scanlon is (as always) excellent as Ma Larkin but the rest appear to have been chosen for reasons over than their acting skills. Twee, insipid, predictable and grating. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/25/22 Full Review sa61sja F Just as awful as series 1. Trying too hard but Pop comes across as a nasty crook and the family as manipulative and unpleasant. Other than Joanna Scanlon the dreadful over exaggerated acting and the music which takes up half the show just emphasise the dullness.
