Laurian D @Laurian 10h The Penguin has always been my least favorite Batman villain. Found him irritatingly boring in the comics and used to roll my eyes every time the glorious Batman - The Animated Series would feature a Penguin episode. He got too much screen time in Batman Returns and his cringy scenes kept that movie from being perfect. Therefore I've postponed watching this show for two years since it came out and I finally binged it today. I must admit this was a huge surprise. Colin Farrel and Cristin Miloti are excellent leads, the character arcs are superb and the entire storyline was very engaging. This mature, grounded new take on the character managed to make this villain interesting and many of his trademark aspects were adapted and included in surprisingly clever ways. Definitely watch this TV show, you won't regret it. See more SnEaKy @basaro_o 4d This show is very impressive and really highlights how evil and twisted Oz truly is. It depicts how Oz rises to power shortly after the events of The Batman. Although there are a couple of plot holes that were never fully addressed, or maybe I just missed them, which detract from a few points. Earlier in the show, it is mentioned that Julian Rush stopped working at Arkham, but at the end, when Sofia is back in Arkham and receives a letter from Selina Kyle, you can see that he is back working there. Perhaps he returned, but it seems unrealistic and is never really explained. Oz’s refusal to end his mother’s suffering, despite his promise to her, shows both his obsession with her and his cruelty, especially when paired with how he kills Vic, seeing family as a weakness. Anyway, this series is a must-watch if you liked The Batman and it sets up potential sequels involving The Penguin and his role in Gotham. I have to say I thought I’d be bored in the first 10 seconds because that’s how I am with tv but I was hooked in immediately amazing storyline. I love how it fell off the Batman movie from 2022. And the acting, girl i cried. Please watch it. You won’t be bored. I literally watched at least five times.
