Craig Zobel has a strong grasp of The Penguin’s tone, keeping it shadowy but not grim where the characters’ psychic wounds drive all their choices and the action.

"The Penguin” feels mechanical and recycled, constructed rather than imagined. Mob-movie clichés about honor and service are recited in lifeless dialogue and then recited again; the action often undercuts them but not in any witty or exciting way.

It's a riveting, compelling, and rather entertaining look at Oz's desperate attempts to become the kingpin of Gotham, dealing with a multitude of setbacks and surprises on the way that have him trying to out-maneuver his opponents at every turn.

The Penguin es una excelente serie, porqué en ningun momento pierde esa esencia de que el es un villano, me encantó, pero lo que más destacó en esta serie es la Actuación de Cristin Milioti (Sofia Falcone), que dio una excelente actuación y fue lo mejor de esta serie.

Excellent in every respect, this series paints the penguin as a real (if sociopathic) human being whose origin story sculpts a compelling conniving underdog. I only reserve half a star because they were so successful in making him a wounded, grasping human that the Penguin himself doesn’t command enough respect and isn’t smart enough to be imagined as a super villain. But the show is so good and entertaining that this is barely a criticism.

Muy buena serie de mafia, con muchos giros en la trama y alguna que otra escena épica. Como expansión del universo de The Batman se queda cortísima y me dejo a deber muchísimo pero eso no quiere decir que no sea disfrutable por si sola.

Loved the Penguin, but hated the character that was the Penguin. He’s not so much a penguin as he is a two timing rat, who only thinks about himself. I love that penguin convinces himself that everything he’s done is for his mom, but he’s selfish and did it only for himself. Victor didn’t deserve what happened to him, but the penguin says family makes you weak.
