Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News The supporting cast of characters get even more developed in this brisk season that you’ll want to finish in one weekend. Rated: 2.5/4 Feb 6, 2025 Full Review Ed Power Daily Telegraph (UK) As time-killing hokum, The Recruit hits the target like 007 taking aim down a pre-credits gun barrel. Rated: 4/5 Jan 30, 2025 Full Review Mini Anthikad-Chhibber The Hindu Not so much of a rookie lawyer anymore, Noah Centineo’s Owen Hendricks escapes being rubber roomed on the tails of yet another graymailer, which takes him from Seoul to Vladivostok in the company of old and new frenemies May 16, 2025 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com The acting is good but Centineo has gotten older and has lost that fresh-faced appeal. Rated: 5/10 Apr 5, 2025 Full Review Lindsay Press Culturess Season two is efficient even if it lacks the group ensemble mentality that season one provided by allowing all the main characters to be in constant interaction. Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Samarth Goyal Hindustan Times The Recruit wisely retains its fast-paced storytelling, never getting bogged down despite Owen’s increasingly complex personal struggles. Emperor W It coulda been a 4 Star, but the VERY lame ending is a big disappointment. What about HER??!! Who got busted? Wait a minute! You're ending it THERE?! Up to that point, it was sort of OK for your Tough Girls - dumb guys kind of adventure. The continuity person must have taken a couple days off, and some character relationships must have been rewritten by different folks. Just don't expect it to make sense and you'll probably enjoy the show. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/19/25 Full Review Gary B Even though I enjoyed season 2, season 1 was much sharper. Season 2 suffered from too many "lucky" coincidences, and the interactions lacked an urgent sense of danger. If there's a season 3, I hope they tighten up the storyline. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/16/25 Full Review Roger G I think the other characters were carrying Owen in the first season. The loss of Max was too much. But I have tried to watch Season 2 3 times. I can't get past so much of reading subtitles. That really was a deal breaker for me. If it had been dubbed I would have watched to the end. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/05/25 Full Review Irsa K Very addictive to watch. Wish there’ll be a third season. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/28/25 Full Review Anastasia G Fun spying tv series with nice balance of drama, thriller, action, humor and throw a bit of romance into it. Very entertaining to watch as long as you don't take seriously and don't expect the series to be realistic. Great characters and very good actiong job. Definitely worth watching if you would like something light. I'm sad they cancelled the series as there could be so many more fun ideas and stories to tell. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/20/25 Full Review Jason M I still very much like this show a little fun with some good ups and downs Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/22/25 Full Review Read all reviews
