Noah Centineo
American actor Noah Centineo started out in television before becoming a legitimate teen heartthrob, thanks to two Netflix romantic comedies released back-to-back in the summer of 2018. Born on May 9, 1996 in Miami, FL, Centineo was raised in nearby Boynton Beach, alongside his older sister, Taylor. His father, Gregory Vincent Centineo, was an executive producer in the film industry. Centineo became interested in acting from a young age, attending the BAK Middle School of the Arts, and then Boca Raton Community High School, where he played soccer. At first, he appeared in a few Florida-based productions, including the family comedy "The Gold Retrievers" (2009), and the Disney Channel sitcoms "Austin & Ally" (Disney Channel, 2011-2016) and "Shake It Up" (Disney Channel, 2010-2013). In 2012, Centineo moved to Los Angeles, where he quickly landed guest appearances on shows such as "See Dad Run" (Nick at Nite, 2012-2014) and "Newsreaders" (Adult Swim, 2013-2015), before landing his first series regular gig, playing Jesus Adams Foster on seasons 3, 4, and 5 of the family drama series "The Fosters" (Freeform, 2013-2018). After his run on that show ended, Centineo unfortunately found himself in a bad contract for a pilot that never got picked up, which left him unable to audition for any other projects for six months. Frustrated, he nearly quit acting for good, but soon found himself scoring not one, but two breakout roles in a row. On August 7, 2018, the teen romantic comedy "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" (2018) premiered on Netflix. Based on a popular YA novel, Centineo played Peter Kavinsky, the main romantic interest of the protagonist, Lara (Lana Condor). Less than a month later, on September 7, 2018, Netflix released another teen romantic comedy with Centineo as the main romantic interest, "Sierra Burgess is a Loser" (2018). The one-two punch turned Centineo into a teen heartthrob practically overnight, and earned him a number of upcoming roles, including a supporting part in Elizabeth Banks's cinematic reboot of "Charlie's Angels" (2019), starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska.
