I think the movie is meant to be generic and gives a very strong netflix vibe, but it’s a fun watch nonetheless.

Okay, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. There are se7en chick flicks that I hate and literally thought the worst is over, well, for the most part, this one is not one of them. It's just a romantic comedy and nothing to do with something that p***es me off apart from one scene but still. Out of all of rom coms I've seen since the period of last year, this one is just a plain rom com and what do we have here, another romantic comedy made by Netflix's bulls**t. Netflix just keeps making money by making all these bad rom com films that bored me to tears and most importantly p***es me off, they just keep f**king my a**ehole over and over and over again. Anyway, there is this movie called The Perfect Date. (Chuckles) It's stars the same guy that starred in Sierra Burgess Is a Loser. Oh, my God! Brooks Rattigan is a teenage boy who dreams of getting into Yale, while his father, wants him to go to the University of Connecticut, which offered him a full scholarship. He works at a sub shop with his best friend, but financing his college dreams proves troubling. He seizes the opportunity to make some extra money by posing as the boyfriend of his classmate's wealthy cousin Celia Lieberman of Greenwich. He finds he has a knack for dating with his adaptable personality. His mate creates and launches an app for Brooks, selling him as the plus-one for all occasions. Netflix can't you just stop making romantic comedies from now on. I mean, God, what is your fetish with romantic comedy chick flicks? Do you just wanna f**k women's feet and arsecracks by going "(Grunts 3x) Scooby Dooby Doo!"? Bunch of f**king idiots! (Sighs) I just can't believe it. Well, at least it's not something that p***ed me off the most contrary to the fact that they both got bad reviews by many people including myself. I was going through the list of rom coms that have something to do with this movie and is it similar, well, not really, but it has nothing to do with gold digging, whoring, prostitutioning, b***h arsed whores, that's for sure but still, I find this to be pretty boring. The main character is a pimp, no pun intended. As I said before, I don't hate all the chick flicks, rather it be a romantic comedy or drama, if it's anything good, I'm all in for it. Now for the bad ones I watched in the past are The Kissing Booth trilogy, Tall Girl 1&2, Sierra Burguss Is a Loser, He's All That, all of them made by Netflix apart from one called Bratz directed by "you know who", Sean Mc***tcancer. I don't give a toss, they both sucked anyways. I knew I was looking forward to another rant but this movie got me bored to rant about it so here's that. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to listen to my songs with headphones and with my mike. Mike Hunt. ┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

Stereotypical high school romcom, the tropes can get annoying. But it's a cute, inoffensive movie that's fun to watch if you have nothing else to do.

Standard Netflix romcom film, not terrible but not one of the all time classics either.

Superficially, this movie is well done. The quality and acting are all pretty good. But for a high school rom-com, there is none of the teen angst and awkwardness. Everyone looks like they are about 25 years old, poised, self assured, wear nice clothes... even the male lead .. a 'poor kid from Bridgeport' repeated ad naseum, drives a car, can afford new clothes for every date, lives in a nice house with his dad who is always there for him. The mom 'left for reasons', but it never affects the show. Same for the female lead. It was all too pat, as was the dialogue and movie tropes.
