Christie s Went into this with my expectations rock bottom but this movie was very heartfelt and moving considering it's silly premise Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Stereotypical high school romcom, the tropes can get annoying. But it's a cute, inoffensive movie that's fun to watch if you have nothing else to do. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review will b Standard Netflix romcom film, not terrible but not one of the all time classics either. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review corkball Superficially, this movie is well done. The quality and acting are all pretty good. But for a high school rom-com, there is none of the teen angst and awkwardness. Everyone looks like they are about 25 years old, poised, self assured, wear nice clothes... even the male lead .. a 'poor kid from Bridgeport' repeated ad naseum, drives a car, can afford new clothes for every date, lives in a nice house with his dad who is always there for him. The mom 'left for reasons', but it never affects the show. Same for the female lead. It was all too pat, as was the dialogue and movie tropes. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Saraline A It's worth watching because it has Laura Marano as Celia. She is the queen of this movie!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/07/21 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a stereotypical teen romance movie. It's not repulsive to watch, the movie is bland and borrows aspects from other teen romance movies like "jungle" and "the kissing booth''. The generic plot and characters make this movie meh, watch it if you have nothing else to watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Kristy Puchko Pajiba I liked The Perfect Date better when it was called Loverboy. May 25, 2019 Full Review Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times "The Perfect Date" feels engineered by Netflix algorithms. Apr 12, 2019 Full Review Constance Grady Vox It's a perfectly middle-of-the-road teen flick, and it is notable mostly because it gives [Noah] Centineo plenty of opportunities to do what he does best: gaze longingly at girls. Rated: 3/5 Apr 12, 2019 Full Review Brianna Martinez Tell-Tale TV The Perfect Date is a perfectly fine romantic comedy, with quite a few fun tropes thrown into a story that centers on the importance of finding yourself... Rated: 3.0 Jul 26, 2023 Full Review Natasha Alvar MovieBabble This movie is perfect for fans of Noah Centineo who need something to tide them over till the To All the Boys I've Loved Before sequel arrives. Rated: B Mar 7, 2021 Full Review Alison Foreman Mashable Brooks isn't the only shallow character in this exhausting story. His dueling love interests Shelby and Celia, played by Riverdale's Camila Mendes and Laura Marano, get written into similar corners. Dec 7, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
