Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) Irish actress Denise Gough is giving a furious, fascinating performance in the new season of Andor, but even she is hard-pressed to make this British thriller about a missing child more than a collection of outrageous twists and wild coincidences. Rated: 2.5/5 May 1, 2025 Full Review Carol Midgley The Times (UK) Be warned, this thriller, based on the novel Playdate by Alex Dahl, has more holes than a moth-eaten jumper. But is it watchable? Yes, very. Rated: 4/5 Apr 28, 2025 Full Review Benji Wilson Daily Telegraph (UK) The tension in The Stolen Girl – and whatever else it is, it grips like duct tape – comes as much from these performances as from the plot. Rated: 3/5 Apr 17, 2025 Full Review Ty'Kira Smalls Common Sense Media This series is a solid entry into the mystery/abduction genre. Apr 30, 2025 Full Review Andrew Murray The Upcoming Although its narrative could have benefited from some extra tightening, its snappy delivery and compelling central mystery are enough for viewers to want to see The Stolen Girl through to the end. Rated: 3/5 Apr 25, 2025 Full Review Barbara Ellen Observer (UK) The cast go for it, but it’s pure mini-break noir; I try to concentrate on the secrets and murk of the convoluted plot but keep getting distracted by the shabby Euro chic of the mini chateau. The Stolen Girl is totally absurd and strangely moreish. Rated: 3/5 Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Raquel E It starts strong, grabbing your attention with a tense and promising setup… but it unravels by the end. What could’ve been a gripping story turns absurd and predictable. Not a total waste, but it definitely could’ve been much better. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/25/25 Full Review N. C Season 1 of The Stolen Girl isn’t bad, but it didn’t fully live up to expectations. The core idea is solid and there are some interesting moments — mostly the ones shown in the trailer. Beyond that, only a few scenes really stand out. Some of the secondary performances felt weak, which took away from the overall impact. It’s not a terrible watch, but I was expecting something better. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/13/25 Full Review Michael C The acting was good all around. Scenery good. The biggest problem is that this would have been more tolerable as a movie. It didn’t have enough content to stretch for 5 episodes. Plus with all of that the twists and turns feel more absurd as it’s dragged out. Then there is the ending which kind of makes you wonder — why did I even watch this? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/29/25 Full Review Andrei D Doesn't have the time to properly establish characters and motivations and its emotional moments are too exaggerated Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/22/25 Full Review Darrin N Enjoyed it from start to finish Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/15/25 Full Review A.L.Jude P Terribly predictable but the horrible acting of some cast made the series wasted. Especially the acting of journalists Selma and her immediate boss is horrible and bad that made the serious juxtaposed to a reality show. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/02/25 Full Review Read all reviews
