After a capsized Daryl Dixon washes ashore in France, he struggles to piece together how he got there and why. His arrival in France raises the ire of leaders within an autocratic movement centered in Paris, and endangers a young boy at the heart of a benevolent religious movement called the Union of Hope. Daryl agrees to shepherd the child and his caretakers on their pilgrimage to the Nest, a sanctuary that promises safety, in return for the Union's help securing him passage back to America. The series tracks Daryl's journey, fighting his way through the unique Walker strains and provincial violence of France. Along the way, Daryl finds his desire to return home complicated by the new connections he forms and the renewed sense of hope these relationships give him. Meanwhile, back in America, Carol Peletier's search for Daryl forces her to confront old trauma, as she enlists a new ally under false pretenses to help her.

Bringing Carol back into the fold cuts into some of the elements that made this Walking Dead spinoff unique, but having Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride sharing the screen again will always be an undead treat.

A série, que acompanha Daryl (Norman Reedus) em uma jornada inesperada pela França pós-apocalíptica, eleva a mitologia do universo zumbi com uma abordagem cinematográfica impressionante, uma atuação refinada e um roteiro que resgata a essência do personagem sem cair em repetição. Um dos grandes triunfos da série é sua fotografia. A escolha da França como cenário não é apenas estética, mas narrativa – a arquitetura histórica em ruínas, os campos devastados e as catedrais góticas adicionam um peso simbólico à jornada de Daryl. A emoção está ali, a ação está ali. O terror está ali. É simplesmente maravilhoso !

Incredible series! Well-made, great script, great cinematography, and an engaging story. I do not understand the low rating because the series is pure cinema. Unlike the Rick and Michonne series, which is awful.

I think this one was better than S1. In part cause the filming locations were on another level this season. Seemed better produced overall. It is cornier than S1 which is saying a good amount with TWD universe. But if you're here watching this spinoff you know exactly what you are in for. So many comically bad moments. The weirdness between Carol and Daryl is just contrived at this point, they should at least be comfortable with each other by now even if the exact nature of the relationship isn't finalized. Overall: extremely corny, but more visually appealing than S2 and an easier watch. Binged it happily.

Daryl Dixon was always one of the best characters and this spin off builds on that magnificently adding more depth to one of the deepest chapters in the line up. The fight scenes are immense, the walkers have evolved and Daryl kicks ass more than ever before. These two seasons are peak walking dead and better than a lot of the original seasons.
