After a capsized Daryl Dixon washes ashore in France, he struggles to piece together how he got there and why. His arrival in France raises the ire of leaders within an autocratic movement centered in Paris, and endangers a young boy at the heart of a benevolent religious movement called the Union of Hope. Daryl agrees to shepherd the child and his caretakers on their pilgrimage to the Nest, a sanctuary that promises safety, in return for the Union's help securing him passage back to America. The series tracks Daryl's journey, fighting his way through the unique Walker strains and provincial violence of France. Along the way, Daryl finds his desire to return home complicated by the new connections he forms and the renewed sense of hope these relationships give him. Meanwhile, back in America, Carol Peletier's search for Daryl forces her to confront old trauma, as she enlists a new ally under false pretenses to help her.

Bringing Carol back into the fold cuts into some of the elements that made this Walking Dead spinoff unique, but having Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride sharing the screen again will always be an undead treat.

Daryl Dixon was always one of the best characters and this spin off builds on that magnificently adding more depth to one of the deepest chapters in the line up. The fight scenes are immense, the walkers have evolved and Daryl kicks ass more than ever before. These two seasons are peak walking dead and better than a lot of the original seasons.

I never thought I'd say this, but this franchise needs to end while it's still possible to do it with dignity and without eating itself to death. The writing has become average, like TWD season 6 average and the likeable main characters that we grew so fond of are the only good reason to sit through this one. It has its moments here and there, but the suspense, grittyness and emotion are almost non-existent. The Ones Who Live ended on a high note and the franchise should have stopped there, because the writers are obviously out of ideas which is understandable, after stretching this story for more than a decade. Time to stop!

Season one was so good Season 2 just hasn't held up the same and killing Isabelle off was the absolute worst choice just plain unnecessary would of been better to just leave Carol out and continued Isabelle and Darrell's story will definitely be dropping the show.
