TWISTED METAL, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.

I’m still not sold on this video game adaptation, which unleashes automotive warfare on the highways of a post-apocalyptic America, but credit to the creative team for doubling down on the cartoonish carnage. Go to Full Review

If the first season felt like an obligation to ride a wave of video game adaptations, the second feels like an honest effort to satisfy both fans of the games and those who never played them. Go to Full Review

Despite an inadequate audio description track, the second season of Twisted Metal is just as fun as the first though does suffer from a massive influx of new faces with little to no backstory, making it hard to find a new favorite among the bunch. Go to Full Review

Chris S @shaqdaddy Feb 8 Not as good as season 1 but still pretty damn good See more Mark C @RT21835991 Dec 11 Season 1 was great! Fun characters, exciting and good story! Season 2 was just poor actually, half the time the story didn't make sense, and they where just trying to stretch the story.. characters like Vermin had waaayy to much screen time, it became very annoying and didn't add anything.. Just like the whole prom episode, I think it was episode 10, was pointless and just to stretch the season.. all and all I loved season 1 but season 2 kinda ruined it for me.. too bad!! See more MB C @MB.Cinema Dec 10 Season 2 of Twisted Metal doubles down on chaos, blending dark comedy, violent spectacle, and a world spiraling deeper into madness....The story thrusts John and Quiet into the real tournament at last, where twisted wishes and Calypso’s manipulations drive every drop of blood spilled....New characters like Axel, Mayhem, and Mr. Grimm add flavor, even if their arcs aren’t fully explored......The season smartly balances absurd humor with surprising emotional weight, especially in its tragedies and betrayals.....Calypso shines as a cunning, chaotic force whose games reshape the world more than the contestants do....Bold, fast-paced, and wildly entertaining Season 2 sets the stage for an even darker Season 3..... See more Justin C @Cup1981 Dec 7 Fantastic season. I liked season 1, but i had to disconnect myself from the video game to really enjoy it. Season 2 brought in just the right amount of the video game we lements and characters take it outstanding. The actors who played all the characters felt pulled right from the game, though they never really got personalities in the game. But Mayhem and Vermin were the stars! Absolute perfection!!! The writing was also incredible. Just the right l evel of stupid with great underlying stories. 9/10 for sure!! See more Tony B @Kamelen7 Nov 25 I love that sticks to game story really closely. I wish they would introduce more characters from the game instead of using filler characters that were not originally in the comic. At the very least, it's entertaining to watch. My wife has jumped in an watched an episode here and there and LOLs at the dialogue. Excited for season 3. See more M J @TennisRB Nov 11 I hope they don't take a long time to bring out Season 3 See more Read all reviews
