Chiropractor and single father Alan Harper lives in a beachfront house with divorced Internet billionaire Walden Schmidt, who bought the house following the untimely death of Alan's brother, Charlie. As they acclimate to their living arrangement, the tightly wound Alan finds himself taking on a mentor role with Walden, whose lifelong dependence on being taken care of has left him a bit naive. Despite his unsuccessful romantic history, Alan also tries to help Walden overcome his limited experiences with dating. Berta, a sharp-tongued, unapologetic housekeeper, is also featured in the series.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Two and a Half Men putters to an unpleasant end that continues to beat the dead Charlie horse while spinning an offensive, homophobic subplot.

Buddy, your show's been on for 12 seasons. Don't you want to send off your characters in any type of meaningful way? Nah. Let's just use the time to get back at someone for something people have long forgotten about. Go to Full Review

May not have been great art, but it was an amusingly self-conscious conclusion built around an unfulfilled promise that at least punished the principals responsible for that unfulfilled promise. Go to Full Review

Was it appropriate? Classy? I just know I laughed. Great TV or no, Two and a Half Men ended its many lucrative years in a way true to its nature: going for the punchlines, laughing at death, as expensive objects rained from the sky. Go to Full Review

Two and Half Men hit a new low every season and then continued to sink even further underground. During this last season, the show went off the rails in terms of absurdity and offensiveness. Go to Full Review

So really, was Two and a Half Men just a regular sitcom, or was it the greatest episode of Black Mirror ever about a bunch of actors stuck forever inside a sitcom of hell. Go to Full Review

See more 04/28/2022 Aunque no es la mejor temporada, se mantiene muy alto el nivel de humor y entretención. See more 01/02/2022 (all seasons) You can tell by watching Season 1 why this was a hit: a catchy premise, great cast and snappy dialogue contributing to a very enjoyable laugh-fest characterized by remarkable consistency. Even more remarkably, the above goes on for a whopping 8 seasons. Yet, things take an unfortunate turn for the worse after that, ranging - occasional refreshing glimpses aside - from the average yet watchable to the completely formulaic and below-par, and culminating with the ill-advised "meta" finale. Winning? See more 10/24/2021 This is such a frustrating season for me because I love and hate it all at once. The beginning of the season sets up the storyline of Walden wanting to adopt. In comes Louis. The focus of over half the season was on the adoption and after it was finalized we barely saw Louis. If I'm not mistaken he isn't in either of the two finale episodes. The whole Charlie wanting revenge in the end is actually very interesting to me. They build it up and what you are expecting is a grand finale and what you get is nothing. All the build up and tension. For what? For Charlie to die in the end. I understand that he (Charlie Sheen) was offered to return as Charlie Harper and turned it down. If that was the case though they should have just done a different finale instead of bringing Charlie back. See more FRANCO R 12/28/2020 Not the same without Sheen See more Read all reviews
