      Critics Consensus

Unraveling a brutal mystery with a sensitive touch, Under the Bridge occasionally glosses over its most interesting elements but excels as an exploration of cruelty.

shane c Decent show all the names of places are real but it depicts Victoria as rural country town and they make the bridge look like it’s out in the middle of nowhere. That area around the bridge is an urban , the elementary school I went to right beside it and that bridge is busy road intersection in the city. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Team P A well made show with a talented group of actors. Every episode leaves you wanting more. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/27/24 Full Review Katie S Plays out like a lifetime series only worse, bad acting, flimsy plot, no character development, awful Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review Joe W Well made and interesting about how kids create their own community. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/24/24 Full Review Joseph T This is a bad adaptation of the song by Anthony Keidis, Frusciante, Chad Smith and Flea. I don’t even know who plays them - the girl? Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express What saves Under The Bridge is the series' commitment to its central character and what made her show up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Rated: 3/5 Apr 29, 2024 Full Review Riese Bernard Autostraddle Godfrey’s book, and the series, avoid the urge to slot this event into an easy narrative template, and in turn, create something incredibly rare: a true crime drama less concerned with scandal or mystery than it is with empathy and curiosity. Apr 22, 2024 Full Review Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times Under the Bridge” works as a retelling of a specific time-and-place story, but also a sobering reminder this sort of thing still happens to this day, and far too often. Rated: 3.5/4 Apr 20, 2024 Full Review Jeanine T. Abraham VisAbleBlackwoman (Medium) Under The Bridge reminds me of Nordic Noir with its languid storytelling and chilling camerawork and explores the dark side of teenage girls as they exercise their powers in a small town. Rated: 3 Apr 25, 2024 Full Review Joel Keller Decider Under The Bridge is set to include all of these aspects and twists, with the first episode accomplishing a lot of the complicated exposition in this story by showing and not telling. Apr 23, 2024 Full Review Joey Moser Awards Daily Under the Bridge is an eye-opening and harrowing series that forces the viewer to stare back at the ugly truths of prejudice, anger, and those who feel like they were left behind.
