Ashley Moulton Common Sense Media Wolf King is an ambitious, sweeping, epic tale, and it does not disappoint. Mar 26, 2025 Full Review Joel Keller Decider The Wolf King is a fantasy-adventure story that’s easy to like, mainly because the show’s story is quickly established by the end of the first episode, and there’s more than enough action to satisfy the young viewers the show is trying to attract. Mar 24, 2025 Full Review Pramit Chatterjee Digital Mafia Talkies What’s actually impressive about Wolf King is the animation. From the first frame to the last, you are bombarded with one highly detailed and intricately crafted location after another (...) Overall, in terms of visual storytelling, the show is top-notch. Aleiya H The show was great and I really want to see a season 2. The animation was cool and I saw a lot of complaints about the slower frame rate but it was done in good taste. Another criticism is the characters are one dimensional but there’s only 8 episodes out and the characters we follow are entertaining and have a lot of potential. The main character is already well developed for where we are in the story. I enjoyed the entire season thoroughly. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re someone that sucks the fun out of everyone and everything around you tho…. If you enjoy adventure and growth themes in fantasy and also unique concepts I’d recommend this! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/01/25 Full Review Corruptor B This show is really hard to judge for me but a thing I have immediately come to an agreement to while looking over some of the reviews is that the whole thing moves way too fast. Call me old but it feels as if no moment that happens in the story has time to breathe and the quality of the characters is middling at best. I watched through all 8 episodes that are currently out and I can't with honesty recommend the show to anyone for the reasons listed above. As for positives however the overall concept of it is interesting and the animation style is an innovative experiment Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/15/25 Full Review Sam A Half way through watching this with my 8 yr old son. We're hooked! The animation is fantastic and it's an exciting storyline. Highly recommend. Love the fact theirs were lions, bears and wolves! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/01/25 Full Review Dusty Levi G This show is a must for fantasy fans! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/12/25 Full Review Virgil B The animation is very good, and the mythology is ok. The writing is poor though. Very simplistic and obvious. Only two characters aren't totally two dimensional. One of those changes for no apparent reason, and quite against their personality. It seems to be written for children, but that doesn't mean it should be written this poorly. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/06/25 Full Review Monica H A unique were-animals story with endearing characters. This show was fun to watch for kids and parents alike.
