Ashley Moulton Common Sense Media Wolf King is an ambitious, sweeping, epic tale, and it does not disappoint. Mar 26, 2025 Full Review Joel Keller Decider The Wolf King is a fantasy-adventure story that’s easy to like, mainly because the show’s story is quickly established by the end of the first episode, and there’s more than enough action to satisfy the young viewers the show is trying to attract. Mar 24, 2025 Full Review Pramit Chatterjee Digital Mafia Talkies What’s actually impressive about Wolf King is the animation. From the first frame to the last, you are bombarded with one highly detailed and intricately crafted location after another (...) Overall, in terms of visual storytelling, the show is top-notch. Virgil B The animation is very good, and the mythology is ok. The writing is poor though. Very simplistic and obvious. Only two characters aren't totally two dimensional. One of those changes for no apparent reason, and quite against their personality. It seems to be written for children, but that doesn't mean it should be written this poorly. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/06/25 Full Review Monica H A unique were-animals story with endearing characters. This show was fun to watch for kids and parents alike. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/30/25 Full Review Sean G This show is a must see and definitely wanna read the books as well 👏 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/22/25 Full Review Audience Member When I started watching the first episode, I was put off by the flat water, but I thought that the storyline would make up for it. It didn't. First of all, how come Drew's 'family' act like they met each other the day before, they have no doubt in their minds that say anything like ' I've known this person for a long time and he would never do that' and just turn on him with pitchforks and torches (that are somehow still lit in the rain) the moment they think he did something bad. Most of the characters are unlikeable and the way that they're introduced raises a lot more questions than needed. It throws so much at you at once that you can barely remember any lore related details and taking the ' introduce then explain later' approach doesn't really work when you don't explain later. A lot of events seem to only work out because some of the characters don't have common sense and of course ☆plot convenience☆. It feels like they tried to catch the viewers attention by making them wonder, then lost it because the 'wonder' turned to confusion due to how important details can be skipped or not explained, or not fast as they should have been. I've never watched something that made me wish I hadn't, or made me actually feel frustrated at how bad it was. I feel as if only people that don't look too into details (like 6 year olds) would enjoy it.‐ and this is just a general. 'spoiler free' review Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/18/25 Full Review Mathilda 1 Yeah it was disappointed. The action was to slow, the protagonist was suck and no badass Characters. It's was bullshit Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/11/25 Full Review Makai D Absolutely stunning animation with Awsome fight scenes and creative story wolf king is a top tier show for all ages even with some annoying characters or some rushed episodes it plays out a pretty solid watch Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/10/25 Full Review Read all reviews
