We’re giving You’re Killing Me a tenuous recommendation because we like the chemistry between Shields, Williamson and Kavanagh, and the show definitely has some funny moments. Go to Full Review

S.J. K @MisterStavros 1d Very disappointing for an AMC show. I lasted perhaps 15 minutes, then I could not turn it off quickly enough. Something is very "off" about this show. It’s supposed to be in Maine but it’s populated by Brits dining outside with fancy wine glasses like they are in Manhattan. I’m not saying Mainers can’t be sophisticated, but this show is the opposite of authentic. Poor Brooke Shiellds tries, but she should have chosen her material more carefully. I’m not sure if it’s the writing or the directing, or both, but this is a stinker. See more Cindy J @RT97955502 3d I can’t decide if it’s terrible writing or terrible acting (or both). But I’m terribly disappointed since I only signed up with Acorn to watch this! Brooke played a better character on The Middle when she was the crazy hillbilly neighbor next door. The "murder" genre leads me to believe Hollywood is out of fresh ideas. See more Tiffany G @RT84082341 5d I have not seen something so drastically out of touch in a long time. Within the first 9 minutes I could stomach the show claimed no one wants romantic murder mysteries anymore - as someone in the publishing industry that is categorically false. It tried to have a woman who appears to be late 20s, early 30s speaking bad old Gen Z slang that not even Gen Z uses anymore. Also ignoring the factor that she would be a millennial, they tried to have her shame the "poor boomer author" for being out of touch tech-wise when being tech forward is not something many millennials care about. They legitimately used the structure of "ok boomer" and "adulting is hard" in an argument. Just such bad writing with a clear set up of championing the "boomers" above those "arrogant youths." So disappointing. See more Casey D @RT73291111 May 27 I expect more from Acorntv which brings us great shows like Dalgliesh Miss Fisher and others. Clever and literate. This is a Hallmark Channel movie. Feels like they are desperate for content. Disappointing to say the least. If there is absolutely nothing else to watch it will do. See more Patricia M @RT16415114 May 27 The first episode was cute. The second episode was unwatchably stupid. The two leads are lovely but the writing is abysmal. Why are there no talented script-writers anywhere anymore? See more C C @FairandHonest May 23 If this isn't your genre, don't bother. If it is, you're probably really going to like this. It's trite & clichéd and a teensy bit cringe but it's also cute & charming and has great production values. See more Read all reviews
