Aleisha Allen
Aleisha Allen has been a working actress and print model since before she began school. Her first recurring role began at the age of seven, when she was cast as one of a group of curious children on the popular children's educational series "Out of the Box." This was followed by a voiceover role on the even more popular children's series "Blue's Clues," in which she provided the voice of the drawer in a living room's side table. (On this series, she was credited using a variant spelling of her middle name, as LaNaé Allen.) In 1999, she made her feature film debut as a flower girl in the romantic comedy drama "The Best Man," starring Taye Diggs and Nia Long. In 2003, she had a more substantial co-starring role as Alicia, one of the singers in the student rock band started by eccentric substitute teacher Dewey Finn (Jack Black) in the comedy "The School of Rock." In 2005, Allen scored her first co-starring role as eldest daughter Lindsey in the Ice Cube family road trip comedy "Are We There Yet? "; she reprised the role in the 2007 sequel "Are We Done Yet? " At the age of 20, Allen (now going by her full name of Aleisha Lanae Allen) landed a small role in the Diablo Cody-penned dark comedy "Young Adult."
