Angela Goethals began acting early; by age 10, she had appeared on Broadway. Her first major film role came in the 1988 comedy "Heartbreak Hotel," about a group of youngsters who attempt to kidnap Elvis. Two years later, Goethals reteamed with that film's director, Chris Columbus, to play the exasperated older sister of Macaulay Culkin in the worldwide smash "Home Alone." In 1993, she starred as a teenage tennis champion in the short-lived sitcom "Phenom," and later co-starred in another quickly cancelled series, the comic fantasy "Do Over." She subsequently had a guest stint on the action show "24," and a major role in the horror/comedy movie "Behind the Mask."
