Arnold Diamond

Arnold Diamond was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Diamond landed roles in various films, including "South of Algiers" (1954), "The Constant Husband" (1955) and the horror sequel "The Revenge of Frankenstein" (1958) with Peter Cushing. He also appeared in the William Hartnell comedy adaptation "Carry on Sergeant" (1959), "It's Trad, Dad!" (1961) with Helen Shapiro and the crime flick "The Frightened City" (1961) with Sean Connery. He kept working in film throughout the sixties, starring in the dramatic adaptation "The Anniversary" (1968) with Bette Davis, the adaptation "Isadora" (1968) with Vanessa Redgrave and the David Hemmings comedy "The Best House in London" (1969). He also appeared in "The Italian Job" (1969) with Michael Caine. Nearing the end of his career, he tackled roles in "The Bawdy Adventures of Tom Jones" (1976) with Nicky Henson, the Gene Hackman action movie "March Or Die" (1977) and the Roddy McDowall fantastical comedy "The Thief of Bagdad" (1978). He also appeared in the Peter Sellers action picture "Revenge of the Pink Panther" (1978) and "The Final Conflict" (1981). Diamond more recently appeared in "A Dangerous Man: Lawrence After Arabia" (PBS, 1991-92). Diamond passed away in March 1992 at the age of 77.
