My husband is obsessed with "Lawrence" and ordered this DVD. We watched it in two sittings. Ralph Fiennes is so georgeous in this movie. He plays T.E. Lawrence and, according to my husband, Lawrence's family says that he was very accurate at capturing T.E. Lawrence's manner in this film. It's an interesting look into a backstory of how France and England negotiated their ownership in the middle east.

While the first "Lawrence of Arabia" is a sweeping epic, the sequel is something else altogether. "Lawrence of Arabia" focuses on Lawrence the hero, whilst "A Dangerous Man" Focuses on Lawrence the man. "Dangerous Man" is a personal Drama, and more of a character study on Lawrence than the first film. The film focuses on Lawrence's experiences with Prince Feisal at the 1919 peace conferance. Despite the death of his father, Lawrence continues to fight for the freedom of the arabs. Lawrence also struggles to write "The seven pillars of wisdom", his personal memoirs. Fiennes shines as T.E. Lawrence, and delivers a performance which almost surpasses Peter O'toole's Legendary performance in "Lawrence Of Arabia". It is a great film, and a worthy follow up to "Lawrence Of Arabia".

[08/11] Mein größtes Problem mit diesem Film ist die Tatsache, dass ich ihn einfach nicht wirklich verstanden habe. Der Ton ist so schlecht, dass ich manchmal wirklich rätseln musste, was gesagt wird. Die Performances von Ralph Fiennes und Alexander Siddig sind allerdings sehr emotional und mitreißend.

An ok movie however he did not seem very dangerous to me in ths film(Ralph Fiennes that is).He was an interpreter for the arabs .Anyway -I probably would not watch it again.

Synopsis

This drama, based on actual events, depicts famed British military officer and liaison T.E. Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) as he accompanies Arab leader Emir Feisal (Siddig El Fadil) to the 1919 peace conference in Paris. Lawrence, determined to support Arab independence, proves to be an extremely popular figure, but France and England remain wary about Feisal's request for autonomy. Lawrence's fame eventually makes Feisal grow resentful of him, taking its toll on their close partnership.
