Adam Davidson TheWrap WWE: Unreal gives the audience unprecedented access, going backstage with WWE Superstars and staff as they bring the company’s biggest spectacles to life from the Royal Rumble to WrestleMania. Jul 30, 2025 Full Review Josh Sorokach Decider Unreal was created to attract new wrestling fans, but there’s still enough behind-the-scenes intrigue to make this an absolute must-watch for the day ones. Aug 1, 2025 Full Review Lauren Coates Nerdspin While the series offers plenty of technical, surface-level insights, there aren’t any revelations in WWE: Unreal that can’t be found in the average wrestler’s backstage vlog. Rated: C Jul 30, 2025 Full Review Emmanuel Noisette The Movie Blog Netflix’s WWE: Unreal is a fascinating, deeply engaging look into the wrestling business that balances personal storytelling with behind-the-scenes revelations. Rated: 8/10 Jul 29, 2025 Full Review Alistair McGeorge metro.co.uk If you already love WWE, you’ll love seeing how they create the magic. If you’ve never given it the chance, you’ll gain a deeper respect for pro wrestling as an art form. Rated: 4.5/5 Jul 29, 2025 Full Review Jonathon Wilson Ready Steady Cut ...just as Unreal is completely unwilling to utter the acronym “AEW”, it’s also reluctant to admit what it’s selling and who it’s trying to sell it to. Keith A. Those who still believe in kayfabe will not like this but if you want to get a peek behind the curtain while also still believing, then this is the show for you. Getting a behind the scenes look at WWE and a look at their superstars in and out of the ring enhances the experience of watching WWE. Best of all, it’s a one-day binge so it won’t take long to complete watching it. Cannot wait for season 2! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/16/25 Full Review Tony T I think this is a great experience of the WWE universe -- it's not a warts and all doc, but it gives another shading to the in-ring storytelling. Fun to see the production and camera elements. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/15/25 Full Review Mason O. Watched the first two episodes I love the behind the scenes. Such cool information they tell us behind the scene Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/25 Full Review Jacques F Loved every second of it! Best behind the scenes peak available ever. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/10/25 Full Review Tony M. Very good documentary series and one that intrigues the non wrestling fans and wrestling fans alike. Enjoyed this very much. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/10/25 Full Review Andrew L Just because you can, it doesn't mean you should. Lifting the lid is nothing new, but to this extent, it feels wrong. I've been a pro wrestling fan since I was seven in the early 90s. It's been hard to watch and enjoy the product for a very long time. I spend more time listening to wrestling podcasts and YouTube channels discussing the product than watching the product. I don't think this is a rare phenomenon amongst wrestling fans. There is no purpose for this show other than to generate more content, albeit unnecessary content. I can't see how a non-wrestling fan watching this now would want to start watching wrestling. Time will tell. Yes, wrestling is a work, but it's the magic, the grey area, the intrigue, and the wonder of it all that keeps us intrigued. At least what's left of the intrigue for pro wrestling in 2025. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/08/25 Full Review Read all reviews
