Arthur Loft
Arthur Loft was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Loft landed roles in various films, including "Behind Jury Doors" (1933), "On Probation" (1935) and "Night Waitress" (1936). He also appeared in "Legion of Terror" (1936) and the John King adventure "Ace Drummond" (1936). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Roy Rogers western "Southward, Ho!" (1939), "Everybody's Baby" (1939) with Jed Prouty and "Pride of the Blue Grass" (1939) with Edith Fellows. He also appeared in the Billy Halop drama "Hell's Kitchen" (1939). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Happy Go Lucky" (1943), the Jack Benny comedy adaptation "The Meanest Man in the World" (1943) and "Jack London" (1943). He also appeared in the musical "Wintertime" (1943) with Sonja Henie and the comedic adaptation "Let's Face It" (1943) with Bob Hope. Loft last acted in the comedy "Cigarette Girl" (1947) with Leslie Brooks. Loft passed away in January 1947 at the age of 50.
