Barbara Ruick was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Ruick found her beginnings in film with roles in "Above and Beyond" (1952), "Fearless Fagan" (1952) and "Invitation" (1952) with Van Johnson. Ruick then began to rack up a number of film credits, including roles in the Peter Lawford romance "You For Me" (1952), "Confidentially Connie" (1953) with Van Johnson and the Donald O'Connor musical "I Love Melvin" (1953). She also appeared in the Debbie Reynolds musical comedy "The Affairs of Dobie Gillis" (1953) and the adaptation "Carousel" (1956) with Gordon MacRae. Later in her career, Ruick acted in the George Segal comedy "California Split" (1974). Ruick's husband was John Williams. Ruick passed away in March 1974 at the age of 44.
