Birthplace: Los Angeles, California, USA

Los Angeles native Cirroc Lofton began acting in 1992 with a minor character part in the hit family film "Beethoven" and only one year later, earned his most recognizable and notable role on the science fiction series "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." He played Jake Sisko on the show all throughout his teenage years from 1993 to 1998 and the show's popularity helped propel Lofton's career into the early 2000s. Although never earning significant starring roles, he continued to gain character parts in series like "Soul Food" and "7th Heaven" and a supporting role in the low-budget comedy film "Fronterz" in 2004. In 2005, Lofton began a guest spot on the thriller series "Invasion" and also embarked on a career as a rap artist, although an album was never released. He continued to act on television during the late 2000s with an appearance on "CSI: Miami" and a return to the "Star Trek" franchise in 2007's "Star Trek: Of Gods and Men"; he assumed a new role for the film. Lofton, the actor, is the nephew of former Major League Baseball outfielder and journeyman Kenny Lofton.
