David Hoffman
David Hoffman made the familiar leap from the Groundlings improv troupe to the screen with roles in romantic drama "Remember Sunday" (2013), sitcom "I Live with Models" (Comedy Central, 2015-17) and period comedy "Here's Johnny" (Seeso, 2017-). Hoffman made his acting debut in docudrama "Arrest and Trial" (Syndication 2000-01), but spent most of the '00s working on the improv circuit with the star-making group known as the Groundlings. He kicked off the following decade with minor guest parts on everything from soap opera "The Young and the Restless" (CBS, 1973-) and sitcom "New Girl" (Fox, 2011-18) to sketch show "Important Things with Demetri Martin" (Comedy Central, 2010-11) and kids comedy "Victorious" (Nickelodeon, 2010-13). Hoffman first appeared on the big screen playing a doorman in the box-office smash "Bridesmaids" (2011) and followed it up with a bit part in video game comedy "Noobz" (2012) and a supporting role in "Remember Sunday" (2013). After adding guest spots on "Kickin' It" (Disney XD, 2011-15) and "Big Time Rush" (Nickelodeon, 2009-2013) to his resume, Hoffman landed his first recurring role as Clay Tidwell in partly-improvised comedy western "Quick Draw" (Hulu, 2013-14). Small parts in black comedy "Play Nice" (2014) and drama "Squatters" (2014) were followed by guest spots on "Cristela" (ABC, 2014-15), "Henry Danger" (Nickelodeon, 2014-) and "2 Broke Girls" (CBS, 2011-17) and various voice parts in feature-length animation "Top Cat Begins" (2015). Hoffman then landed his first leading man role in sitcom "I Live with Models" (Comedy Central, 2015-17), where he played Tommy, a hand model living the dream in Miami. Following further one-off appearances in the likes of "Bones" (Fox, 2005-2017), "Castle" (ABC, 2009-2016) and "Modern Family" (ABC, 2009- ), Hoffman was cast as Jim in "Here's Johnny" (Seeso, 2017), the Paul Reiser-penned comedy set behind the scenes of "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" (NBC, 1962-1992). Hoffman then earned his first writing credit on two episodes of adult animation "Mike Tyson Mysteries" (Adult Swim, 2014-) and bagged the role of Topher on "Beerfest" (The CW, 2017-), the small-screen adaptation of the bawdy 2006 comedy.
