Dolly Rathebe
Actress Dolly Rathebe was a dynamic talent on the big screen in dramatic roles. Rathebe began her career with roles in "Jim Comes to Jo'burg" (1949) and "Mapantsula" (1989). Rathebe began to focus on film after appearing in the Richard Harris crime drama "Cry, the Beloved Country" (1995), the Kerry Fox drama "Friends" (1995) and "Hijack Stories" (2001) with Tony Kgoroge. She also appeared in the Kagiso Mtetwa drama "Malunde" (2002). More recently, Rathebe appeared on the documentary "Amandla! A Revolution In Four-Part Harmony" (2003) with Abdullah Ibrahim.
