Actress Dorothy Provine appeared on the big screen many times over the course of her Hollywood career. In 1958, she made her feature debut in "Live Fast, Die Young." In 1959, she played the title role in "The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock" opposite Lou Costello. Provine started her acting career landing roles in films, such as "The Bonnie Parker Story" (1958), "Riot in Juvenile Prison" (1959) with Jerome Thor and "The 30-Foot Bride of Candy Rock" (1959). Provine worked in television around the start of her acting career with a role on "The Alaskans" (ABC, 1959-1960). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like the comedy "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" (1963) with Spencer Tracy and the Jack Lemmon comedy "Good Neighbor Sam" (1964). She also appeared in the TV special "The Bob Hope Show (01/24/62)" (NBC, 1961-62). She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Roaring Twenties" (ABC, 1960-62). In the latter half of her career, she continued to act in the Hayley Mills comedic adaptation "That Darn Cat" (1965), the Jack Lemmon comedy adventure "The Great Race" (1965) and "One Spy Too Many" (1966) with Robert Vaughn. She also appeared in "Who's Minding the Mint?" (1967). Provine more recently appeared in "The Sound of Anger" (NBC, 1968-69). Provine was married to Robert Day and had one child. Provine passed away in April 2010 at the age of 73.
