Ellen Tamaki
Actress Ellen Tamaki found fame when she was cast as Detective Nico Hamada in the reboot of supernatural drama "Charmed" (The CW, 2018-). After graduating from Boston University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Tamaki made her screen debut playing a barista in psychological thriller "The Drowning" (2016). She then appeared as Debbie in "Valentina" (2017), a short film about a talking vagina, and guested on web series "The Holdouts" (2018), a comedy about New York's gentrification, and "Dichos" (2018), an amusing exploration of Latin American expressions. Following a minor role in cross-generational indie drama "We Only Know So Much" (2018), Tamaki got her big break when she landed the part of Nico Hamada, a street-smart Hilltowne police detective and on/off love interest of strong-willed witch Mel, in "Charmed" (The CW, 2018-), the revival of the popular late '90s fantasy drama starring Shannen Doherty. Tamaki then returned to the big screen for the supporting role of Valerie in love triangle tale "Inez & Doug & Kira" (2018) before starring as one of four housemates recovering from the night before in hangover comedy "Searching for Sally Mae" (2018).
