Ernest Clark
Ernest Clark was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Clark started his acting career landing roles in such films as "The Circus Clown" (1934), "Private Angelo" (1949) and the comedy "Father Brown" (1954) with Alec Guinness. He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Beau Brummell" (1954) with Stewart Granger, the comedic adaptation "Doctor in the House" (1955) with Dirk Bogarde and "The Dam Busters" (1955). His film career continued throughout the fifties and the sixties in productions like the Ray Milland thriller "The Safecracker" (1958), "A Touch of Larceny" (1960) with James Mason and the Kenneth More dramatic adaptation "Sink the Bismarck!" (1960). He also appeared in the Tom Courtenay dramatic adaptation "Billy Liar" (1963). Clark was most recently credited in "The Water Diviner" (2015) with Russell Crowe. Clark had a number of different projects under his belt in the eighties, including "Gandhi" with Ben Kingsley (1982), "The Settlement" (1983) and "Reunion" (1984) starring Carmen Duncan. His credits also expanded to "Robbery Under Arms" (1984) starring Sam Neill and "For the Term of His Natural Life" with Colin Friels (1985). Clark passed away in November 1994 at the age of 82.
