Finn Atkins

Finn Atkins was a British actress who rose to prominence in December of 2016 when she played the iconic English author Charlotte Brönte in the BBC made-for-TV biographical movie "To Walk Invisible" (BBC, 2016). Raised in the suburbs of Nottingham, Atkins' desire to act occurred at a very young age. Thankfully for her, she lived near the British Television Workshop - a government program that offered free acting classes to young people. Acting came naturally to Atkins, and before long she was landing small parts in films and on television shows. Her first substantial role came in 2002 when she nabbed a supporting role in the romantic comedy "Once Upon a Time in the Midlands." Atkins received rave reviews for her performance, which led to more acting work. She landed a recurring role on the British TV series "Dangerville" (ITV, 2003), as well as a supporting role in the horror film "Eden Lake" (2008). In 2009 Atkins became a familiar face to British TV audiences when she nabbed a recurring role as a teenage prostitute on the long-running soap opera "EastEnders" (BBC, 1985- ), and followed that up with a recurring role on "Starlings" (Sky 1, 2012-13). Atkins continued appearing primarily on British television shows throughout the early to mid-2010s, making ever more of a name for herself in the cutthroat world of entertainment. Then in 2016 she landed her big break when she was cast as Charlotte Brönte in the television film about the famous writing family, "To Walk Invisible." The film was written and directed by Sally Wainwright, and premiered on the BBC in December 2016.
