Frank Marlowe

Frank Marlowe was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Marlowe kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the crime flick "Now I'll Tell" (1934) with Spencer Tracy, the George Raft crime picture "The Glass Key" (1935) and "Christmas Holiday" (1944) starring Deanna Durbin. He also appeared in "Identity Unknown" (1945) and "The Bushwackers" (1952). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the fifties, appearing in "Abbott and Costello Go to Mars" (1953) with Bud Abbott, the Jane Russell musical "The French Line" (1954) and the crime feature "The Long Wait" (1954) with Anthony Quinn. He also appeared in "Lucy Gallant" (1955) and the Glenn Ford western "The Americano" (1955). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The Man With the Golden Arm" (1956), the dramatic sports film "The Square Jungle" (1956) with Tony Curtis and the crime flick "Chicago Confidential" (1957) with Brian Keith. He also appeared in "The Garment Jungle" (1957). Marlowe last acted in the Cary Grant mystery thriller "North By Northwest" (1959). Marlowe passed away in March 1964 at the age of 60.
