Gilbert Green was an actor who made a successful career for himself in film. In his early acting career, Green appeared in such films as the Lana Turner dramatic adaptation "By Love Possessed" (1961), the Glen Corbett thriller "Homicidal" (1961) and "Experiment in Terror" (1962). He also appeared in the drama "Pressure Point" (1962) with Sidney Poitier and "The Dark Intruder" (1965). Following that project, Green worked on the television programs "Star Trek" (NBC, 1966-69) and "McCloud" (NBC, 1970-77). He also starred in the TV movies "The Psychiatrist: God Bless the Children" (NBC, 1970-71) and "Honor Thy Father" (CBS, 1972-73). His career progressed to film, including a role in the Tony Curtis comedy adaptation "Don't Make Waves" (1967). He also played parts in television during these years, including roles in "Star Trek" (NBC, 1966-69) and "McCloud" (NBC, 1970-77). Green took on film roles in more recent years, appearing in "The Man" (1972), the Burt Lancaster thriller "Executive Action" (1973) and the dramatic sports film "Goldengirl" (1979) with Susan Anton. He also appeared in the Sally Field drama "Norma Rae" (1979). He also was featured in the TV movie "Starsky and Hutch" (ABC, 1974-75). Green more recently acted in the period drama "Forty Days of Musa Dagh" (1983) with Kabir Bedi. Green passed away in April 1984 at the age of 70.
