Helen Hanft was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Hanft began her acting career appearing in various films, such as "Next Stop, Greenwich Village" (1976), the comedy "Manhattan" (1979) with Woody Allen and the dramatic comedy "Willie & Phil" (1980) with Michael Ontkean. She also appeared in "Stardust Memories" (1980) with Woody Allen, "Arthur" (1981) and "Honky Tonk Freeway" (1981). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like the comedy "Moonstruck" (1987) with Cher, the Eddie Murphy smash hit comedy "Coming to America" (1988) and "License to Drive" (1988) with Corey Haim. Recently, she continued to act in the Shirley MacLaine comedy adaptation "Used People" (1992), the Elijah Wood comedic adventure "North" (1994) and the comedy "I.Q." (1994) with Meg Ryan. She also appeared in "The Associate" (1996) with Whoopi Goldberg and the Christian Campbell comedy "Trick" (1999). Most recently, Hanft acted in "The New Tenants" (2010).
