James DiGiacomo
At the age of eleven, James DiGiacomo already boasted an impressive string of acting roles including Frankie Fiorello in the Oscar-nominated film "Brooklyn" (2015). A native New Yorker, he showed an aptitude for acting as a toddler. His father John left a job in his 20s to become a standup comedian, ultimately working in commercials and even becoming a character for the World Wrestling Federation. Though he settled down to raise his family, he rejoined the showbiz world when he spotted his son's budding talent. He got James into a children's acting class and secured him an agent; DiGiacomo won the agent's heart by telling a mildly naughty joke at his audition. His first paying job was as a model in a Toys R Us catalogue, and at age five he got his first role in the USA Network drama "White Collar" (USA 2008-2014). He also began doing commercials and at age 7 shared an NFL spot with Cam Newton. The brief commercial, where the kid out-talks the quarterback, was popular with football fans and jump-started DiGiacomo's career. DiGiacomo showed up for his "Brooklyn" audition wearing a white T-shirt with sleeves rolled up James Dean-style, and impressed director John Crowley as a young Danny DeVito type. After his scene-stealing turn as the kid brother in "Brooklyn," DiGiacomo landed two major television roles in 2016: He went to Los Angeles to film two episodes in the children's show "KC Undercover" (Disney 2016- ), then returned to New York for a regular part in the sitcom "Kevin Can Wait" (CBS 2016- ), set on Long Island and starring Kevin James.
