John Daheim

John Day was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. John Day's career in acting began with his roles in various films like the drama "Champion" (1949) with Kirk Douglas, "Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man" (1951) and the musical "Meet Danny Wilson" (1952) with Frank Sinatra. He also appeared in "Wings of the Hawk" (1953), "The Man From the Alamo" (1953) with Glenn Ford and "Yankee Pasha" (1954). He continued to act in productions like the Tony Curtis sports drama "The Square Jungle" (1956), the drama "Toward the Unknown" (1956) with William Holden and the James Stewart western "Night Passage" (1957). He also appeared in "Jailhouse Rock" (1957) with Elvis Presley. John Day had a number of different projects under his belt in the sixties and the seventies, including "The Pink Jungle" (1968) starring James Garner, "Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here" with Robert Redford (1969) and "The Lost Man" (1969) starring Sidney Poitier. His credits also expanded to "Earthquake" (1974) starring Charlton Heston and "The Hindenburg" with George C Scott (1975). John Day more recently directed the Phillip Gordon thriller "The Returning" (1991).
