Lowest Rated: 7% The New Guy (2002)

Birthday: Mar 12, 1952

Birthplace: Chicago, Illinois, USA

Chicago native Julius Carry's first onscreen credit was a small role in the 1979 blaxploitation film "Disco Godfather." A versatile character actor, Carry played a basketball player on the television series "The White Shadow," a cab customer on "Hill Street Blues," and a CIA agent in the comedy/thriller "The Man with One Red Shoe," before landing the role of the main villain, Sho'nuff, in the 1985 martial arts film "The Last Dragon." Although a critical disappointment at the time of its release, "The Last Dragon " is now a cult classic, with Carry's portrayal of the urban samurai Sho'nuff proving to be his most celebrated. Carry continued to act in television throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, with recurring roles on the sitcoms "Murphy Brown," "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place," and "Boy Meets World," before succumbing to pancreatic cancer at the age of 56 in 2008.
