While the hilarious karate and hallucinations that close the film are worth the wait, they don't justify the gleeful submission to the era's fads or the preachy, anti-drug crusade, both of which make Disco Godfather too inhibited for its own good.

Putting the words 'disco' and 'godfather' in a title is already inviting trouble, but in execution the makers of this urban 'drama' not only embrace it, they downright make love to it.

The Visuals at the end even made me think I was tripping out and the message was very much received. What a way to do a final bow on 70s films starring Rudy.

This movie was a literal roller coaster. It was crazy, strange, sad and awesome at the same time. The film was actually enjoyable for the most part. It's just a fun corny sort of film. This movie's like a Ralph Bakshi film minus the animation part just a chaotic sort of bunch of characters; its not really a film to enjoy by the film itself more of which a film that's enjoyable to laugh at. This is a film that you could invite your friends over to have a laugh or two and probably even a drink. Disco Godfather is not a good film or a bad film it's a so bad it's good film.
