Singer-dancer Kiely Williams co-founded 3LW, the girl group whose 2000 self-titled album went platinum on the strength of its lead single, "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)." The trio went on hiatus when Williams and fellow 3LW-member Adrienne Bailon were cast in Disney's Deborah Gregory-adaptation "Cheetah Girls." The duo joined singer-actress Sabrina Bryan and Raven-Symoné as a fictional girl-group struggling to find success. The Cheetah Girls released three made-for-TV movies, six full-length albums, a video game, and a vast array of other merchandise before disbanding in 2008. Williams recorded her first song as a solo artist for the soundtrack of 2008's "The Cheetah Girls: One World." In the wake of their breakup, she announced that she would be pursuing a solo career and shared various new songs via YouTube, including 2009's "Make Me A Drink" and 2010's "Fantastic," a dance track driven by an arpeggiator and heavy synth bass line that evoked the house-influenced pop of 1990s Belgian trio Technotronic. The song's sexually-charged lyrics, which were a complete departure from the family friendly material she had sung in the past, relayed the details of a one-night stand. Williams made her post-Cheetah acting debut as British sorority sister Lily in the 2008 comedy "The House Bunny." In 2010, she played against type as collegiate bad-girl Brenda in the step-dancing sequel "Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming."
